Dr. Pete is a blessing! I have had problems with headaches/migraines and dizziness for a few years that my primary care doctor hasn't been able to help with. Dr. Pete Moncado has been a wonderful chiropractor - he takes walk-ins, which is great for a flexible schedule. He operates his clinic in his garage which has been converted into a clean, professional clinic. You write your name on a clipboard and wait in a recliner chair until his staff calls you. Very nice young woman was his assisting staff. He first asked me lots of questions, had me fill out a questionnaire, and then did a physical exam. He is really easy-going and listens to your problems - he wanted to figure out the real problem and not just do a quick fix of the symptoms. I was experiencing a lot of foot pain and I thought I just needed to retire my high heels and take a break from running, but he quickly identify the real problem as a tilted pelvis that was causing metatarsal and plantar fascitis problems - it was also affecting my hips and giving me significant hip pain, which I thought was a muscle tear. He gave me a new patient discount on an initial diagnostic appointment, and he used a clicker type device to move the tilted pelvis back in place, as well as adjust my metatarsal bones in my feet. He showed me some stretches that could help my hip, gave me some advice about my foot pain, and he even has a book that he wrote about plantar fascitis (Real Help For Plantar Fasciitis on Amazon) which I picked up a copy. I also got some special arch support inserts at his clinic for my running shoes. After one adjustment, my foot pain was greatly reduced!! After a few more, and retiring the high heels, my foot pain is much much less. My hip pain is much less but needs more work so I coming back weekly to keep moving the pelvis into the correct position to reduce further hip pain. Dr Moncado has been integral to the healing of a foot injury that happened almost 4 years ago. When no other pediatrician had an answer for me other than injections, surgery or a lifetime of wearing a brace, within 5 minutes of examining my foot he knew exactly what the problem was and what to do. I met Peter at a health fair at my district office. I was having foot pain, which turns out to be plantar fasciitis. He offered a teacher deal where he would charge $29 for an exam, so I went in to see him. His office is in his house in the garage, which was a little offputting. When he examined my feet he looked at them and then told me that he could fix them because I had alignment issues with my bones and that it would be $600 for each set of treatments so approximately $1200 and that he would give me a deal so I could just pay cash instead of using my insurance. Fast forward to my seeing a podiatrist and getting my feet x-rayed, and there is no misalignment in my feet, I just have a high arch and need to use supportive inserts. My foot pain is getting less and less, and I'm so grateful I did not pay this man $1200 to supposedly cure me. When I said that I couldn't afford the $1200 he said I could just pay him the $600 which he wanted in advance. He also said if I left that day and wanted that "deal" at a later time that it would not be available. During my lifetime I've experienced a lot of scams where they pressure you to pay on the spot and then drop their price, which is why I did not pay him. I have edited my review, because he is threatening me legally now. He sent me repeated messages.
