I had gone into the store, asked for the best carpet, didn't haggle just paid the deposit and went on my vacation. After vacation, I stopped in to their shop to pay the balance only to find they were trying to charge me in excess of $100 that was not in our contract for some trumped up add-on.Since I had a contract , I of course did not fall for it. When we came home , the carpet was installed but there were 2 issues. The wall in the master bedroom had been damaged and one of the doors on a custom built cabinet had been damaged in 2 places and someone had "glued the shards" back on to the door in a failed attempt to make it look good. I contacted the owner "Wes" and after his investigation, the installers denied doing any damage and that was that. Wes asked me what I was looking for and I replied I wanted the damage repaired (approx. $100). He started in on how they had "already credited me the trumped up charge and that should be that". It is too bad that a company that received a few thousand dollars for 2 rooms of carpet will allow a customer to leave dissatisfied over such a small amount of money for damage they caused. I think they are a dishonest ,shady company and should be avoided if you are looking for good work and any type of customer service.

We were in the house in less than 110 days and the house is once again beautiful - exactly what we envisioned. The professional customer service, willness to help and make suggestions, courtesy, and sense of urgency to complete the project was executed by all involved, right down to the project manager. Both houses have been extremely energy efficienct, resulting in lower heating and cooling bills. The previous owners had dogs, which naturally means scratches and gouges. We thought it would be a great idea to get them sanded and refinished before moving in furniture. I tried calling 6 companies in the Mansfield, Mt. Vernon, Columbus area. None of them would answer the phone or return the call. Through a family friend, we obtained the name and number for JC's Floor Sanding and Refinishing. We gave them a call, on a weekend, and Jack answered the phone. He suggested we go look at the project, which we did the same day! Jack provided a price that we thought was extremely competitive (comparing it to other sanding/refinishing plus repair projects in our past). A week later, JC's began the project. Here is the really cool part. Daily, we received updates from Jack and the crew. We didn't ask for them, they just provided them. So far, we're experiencing customer service at it's best! When is the last time your contractor updated you daily without you asking or demanding it? Now you see my point!! About a week and a half after the project started, they were finished. This encompassed the entire top floor of the house, which is probably close to 1,500 sq. feet. The finished project looks great and we're extremely pleased with the craftsmanship, the price, and the customer service. To top all of this off, Jack had completed the sanding and coating of the floors on the original installation 15 years prior! Who would ever think that?!?! When he finished, the floors as wonderful as his completed project pictures from 15 years earlier. Now the big question - Would we hire them again or recommend? ABSOLUTELY!! JC's is a contracting company that understands how to do their work (I know that sounds weird...but...), understands customer service, and actually will answer the phone when you call.
