Morris R Denis T, MD - DR. Morris's solution to removing a small CNH. Normal procedure leaves the ear fully intact.

Horrific result in what should have been a very simple case of Chondrodermatitis Nodularis Helicis…read more(CNH) treatment. See posted images. I attended my medical appointment with Dr. Morris at Lion's Gate Hospital. Upon our meeting, I mentioned that my father had the same issue and surgery performed and that he recovered with no change in his physical condition; his ear intact the same after as prior to his surgery. Dr. Morris' only response was a small chuckle and the comment that "You will be a little more aerodynamic when you leave than when you arrived". At no point in time did Dr. Morris consult what the procedure would entail nor indicate he was going to cut a large portion of my ear off, leaving the cartilage protruding out the back side of my ear without flesh nor skin to cover it. Upon my departure from the hospital, Dr. Morris advised me to leave the bandage on for 24 hours after which I could remove it. Dr. Morris provided no further guidance nor medicinal prescription or advice for taking care of the wound post -operation. My situation has only been made significantly worse than when I first visited Dr. Morris. To date the wound remains very sensitive and in constant stinging discomfort due to the exposed cartilage which has no flesh nor skin to cover and protect it. As a Plastic Surgeon, I would have expected the Dr. to want to leave a person in as good or better of condition physically and mentally post operation as prior.

I did my biggest mistake in my life to let him reduce my breasts and doing tummy tuck! Lots of scars in my body, different size of my breasts. I hate to look at myself in the mirror. The only hope I have it a lawyer that I have already talked to, he is going to take him to the court. KEEP AWAY HIM, SERIOUSLY, KEEP AWAY HIM.

My primary physician retired in 2021 and since then I have been passed onto 7 Drs. The most recent lasted for 6 months, then went to another clinic, where she stayed for 6 weeks and then moved to White Rock. I never asked to be transferred with her and didn't want to be transferred with her however it appears they forwarded prescriptions, test results etc to her without asking me. Upon leaving her 2nd clinic, she advised her patients that there was a new Dr. at Seymour Health that agreed to take patients that she had seen from that clinic. Apparently, that is not the case!!! Upon calling the clinic I was told they had not approved that message and I'd have to come in through the walk-in clinic, assuming my records did not get sent away to a clinic where I never wanted or intended them to be. Can't express my extreme disappointment enough.

Appointments have to be made online It's difficult to find contact info for specialists at the clinic. The staff are harried, over worked and under paid. Staff turnover is high, which may indicate a negative job experience for them. It's virtually impossible to get a face-to-face appointment The reception area feels like a hotel, not a medical clinic The care is uncaring, brusque, and perfunctory. There is no time for getting to know my "provider". I feel like a cog in a health care machine and miss the personal care I used to get from my doctor before he retired. And feel guilty for complainigg, because at least I have a doctor.

Vanity brought me here, but it's the awesome results and service that will keep me coming back (ok,…read moreand still a bit of vanity too). I'm in my 30s now and have had Juvederm under the eyes twice before. My previous review of Dr. Buonoassissi still stands, he's great, but his clinic isn't open weekends and as a corporate woman now I can't get there any other time. I chose this place as I had read about Dr. Bieg - he has a ton of cosmetic experience and teaches techniques to other wannabe injectors. So, I felt pretty confident letting him near my face with a needle. The space is beautiful, and as I sat waiting for my consult I was brought a coffee and water. All my questions were answered and I found him to be really kind and calming. I didn't bruise at all, results are great, and was pleasantly surprised that Juvederm now has Lidocaine right in the solution, so it didn't hurt. Dr. Bieg told me to wait two weeks and come back for a touch-up with what was left in my syringe. He was on vacation so I booked with Dr. Balance, who was also lovely and did an amazing job. I'm very happy with the results and the cost was very affordable. A huge upside: as they do a lot of different procedures I was worried it would be a heavy upsell. I've been to other clinics that make the experience really uncomfortable. "You should really use this $1,000 skin care line if you don't want to look like a haggard beast." Or "Have you ever thought about Botox for that forehead line?" Grrr. But they didn't try to sell me on any other techniques, which I found refreshing.

In my mind I wanted 2 facial procedures done which will cost me thousands of dollars when completed. These procedures were the reasons why I went for a consult. A staff led me to Dr. Buonassisi's office and upon entering, the doctor called me by my first name and was very polite in his greetings. Once we sat down he asked me about my concerns. He listened and then gave me my options. He also showed me pictures of one of his client who has the same issue as me. He mentioned the changes after the procedures were done were not as dramatic as he wanted them to be. He also showed me a 3D image of how I would look like if I go with the procedures. In his opinion I do not need the procedures I want. I appreciated his honest. If this is some other doctor he will immediately ask to schedule the procedures so he can have my money. But not Dr. Buonassisi. He offered another solution to my issues and is giving me 20% off when booked within 2 days after my consult. I think it's an amazing deal. I will be saving money and getting better results. Will I recommend Dr. Buonassisi to my friends and family? Absolutely!

She treats men too!…read more I came for a picoway treatment. This was after much encouragement by a friend, because otherwise I would just think this type of treatment is pure BS. I had some acne scarring as a teenager and it has persisted. So I went in for a consultation for this and the picoway was recommended to me. I got some numbing cream which took the edge off the pain. My face was red for a few days, but then people around me started commenting on how good my skin looked. And they had no idea I did anything. And I have always been skeptical of these cosmetic treatments, but call me a believer now. I appreciated that Dr. Li, clearly a well-trained and qualified specialist, did the procedure herself. When doing my research, I found so many places offering treatments like this but beware, many, if not most, are done by people I think should have no business doing it. Technicians, nurses, family doctors, dentists apparently do this. And botox, and fillers! Thats frightening. If I'm going to have a medical procedure, I want the most qualified individual with the best training and experience, and the know-how to deal with complications - in my books, that would be the dermatologists and plastic surgeons. lasers are not benign. Similarly I want an experienced and qualified pilot to fly the plane I'm on, or a qualified and skillled cardiac surgeon to do open heart surgery. Her staff are lovely and friendly. They dont push sales or make you feel like you are being upsold anything. I recommend. Parking can be annoying - its W Broadway after all. There is a paid lot for the building but its small and very full.

There are so many cosmetics clinics in Vancouver but as a physician who knows the inside world of the system, I find Dr. Li respectful, ethical, and exceptionally caring of her patients. We're very fortunate she's a professor at UBC and teaching other dermatologists around the world through conferences and research. At the same time, she's very down to earth with her patients and clear at communicating. I feel blessed to have her care for my skin and can't recommend her enough!
