I came here after inquiring at several different places regarding fillers/botox. After talking options over the phone I decided to go through with an appointment with Dr. Denton. I'm so glad I did! Both him and his nurse were very knowledgeable and nice, I never felt pressured or rushed, and I felt they really listened to my wants/concerns. The office and staff are super nice as well. I ended up going through with chin and cheek filler and i LOVE my results! I would come back for more when the time comes. Vanity brought me here, but it's the awesome results and service that will keep me coming back (ok, and still a bit of vanity too). I'm in my 30s now and have had Juvederm under the eyes twice before. My previous review of Dr. Buonoassissi still stands, he's great, but his clinic isn't open weekends and as a corporate woman now I can't get there any other time. I chose this place as I had read about Dr. Bieg - he has a ton of cosmetic experience and teaches techniques to other wannabe injectors. So, I felt pretty confident letting him near my face with a needle. The space is beautiful, and as I sat waiting for my consult I was brought a coffee and water. All my questions were answered and I found him to be really kind and calming. I didn't bruise at all, results are great, and was pleasantly surprised that Juvederm now has Lidocaine right in the solution, so it didn't hurt. Dr. Bieg told me to wait two weeks and come back for a touch-up with what was left in my syringe. He was on vacation so I booked with Dr. Balance, who was also lovely and did an amazing job. I'm very happy with the results and the cost was very affordable. A huge upside: as they do a lot of different procedures I was worried it would be a heavy upsell. I've been to other clinics that make the experience really uncomfortable. "You should really use this $1,000 skin care line if you don't want to look like a haggard beast." I got a filler done at Pender Medi Spa with Dr. Paul Denton. First of all, the ambiance is really nice, the space is very clean and welcoming. The staff is super kind, friendly and helpful. You feel like you're talking to a trusted girl friend. Dr. Paul is also very down to earth and professional: he delivers what a client wants. I also am planning to go for coolsculpting. Gabrielle is the best coolsculpter in town, hands down. She is very honest too, which is not something you see from people in this industry. I am just starting the process of laser hair removal for my arms prior to having my sleeves done. I couldn't be happier with the experience. Pender Medi Spa is a gem in the Coal Harbour area of downtown Vancouver. From the minute I walked through the door to the minute I left, I felt like I was welcomed and treated no different than their biggest client. The concierge, Genesis, was attentive and sincere. All my needs unrelated to the actual procedure were met as I made my way from the foyer to the treatment room. The technology employed at Pender Medi Spa is top of the line, from my understanding and experience. I have heard stories from others how the procedure can be quite uncomfortable and slightly painful depending on the laser used, the skill of the technician, and the intensity of the laser. Pender Medi Spa uses one of the most advanced lasers in the industry with attention given to minimizing any discomfort during the procedure. A stream of cold air soothes your skin making what could possibly be an uncomfortable experience and making it simple and pain-free. I couldn't even tell I was having laser treatment. I saw dr. Denton initially to get my tear troughs filled. He has a speciality in ocular surgery so I felt confident he would know his stuff. He did. The staff at the front are very sweet and helpful. I was shown into a consultation room and offered a beverage. Upon meeting dr. Denton I was immediately impressed and felt like I was in good hands. He definitely knew what he was talking about. I do extremely thorough research before having any sort of procedure done. I have a solid background in sciences so I'm fairly knowledgeable myself. There was no pressure. He went over the risks and benefits and his thoughts on what level of improvement I could reasonable expect. It was decided that 2 sessions of filler would be most appropriate. I already assumed this going in so it wasn't shocking. The appointment, although a tad uncomfortable, went smoothly. This was by no means his fault. It's just the mechanics and sensations of having a Cannula places under the skin. You can tell that he really looks at your face and knows right where to put the filler for optimum results. I left happy and booked my 2nd appointment. When that time came around, I had pretty much decided that the 2nd filler treatment wasn't going to be enough to give me the results I desired. He talked to me about it and I'm likely going to undergo the lower blepharoplasty. Done by him of course. I was there and I'd been talking to a friend about my chin and jawline. Dr. Denton and I agreed that we would do filler to define my jawline. Which is seriously lacking by the way! Wow. I was over the moon. I immediately took my own after pictures and I CANT stop looking in the mirror. It's improved my face, especially my profile a lot. well I came there a couple of month ago . I want to do my under eye vein treatment . I came in the office ask specificly for that. made an appointemnt thought that work will be done. I got dissapointed because when I came for procedure doctor was not there just a nurse. They told me that they can't remove my under eye veins ...anyway they proposed to remove blood vessels on my face. Really weird 15 min 200$ ( they have a timer lol) . I've done it but seen zero resoult (. i've done this presedure before in LA so I know how to do after care after that and how your face looks like . Waste of money. I had a very awful experience doing my lips with a cheaper in another clinic in Pender street. There is always a reason when something is cheaper. I came here to fix my lips. because they looked like blown sausages! I got my lips done with Dr. Paul here and what a relief. They look good now finally. I have nothing but great things to say about the Pender Medi Spa. I've been going since before it was sold to the new physician Dr. Denton. I was apprehensive about the change but the staff working him are outstanding. From the moment you walk in and are greeted right through to paying your bill they are incredibly friendly and professional. If they've tried to cross sell or upsell me on services I haven't even noticed, it seems to be the difference between here and some of the more traditional spa places where it feels like a constant sales pitch. I'm only in a few times a year, some Botox, some filler and while I'm not spending a ton of money they make me feel like I'm their top client every time I walk in. Dr. Denton and whoever assists always take their time and never feel like you're being rushed in and out. Oh and they schedule appointments properly so you aren't stuck waiting. Bad customer service I purchased a Living Social voucher for $100--half off a $200 spa treatment. Pender Medi spa said they would not honour my voucher with an expiry date three weeks away because they were fully booked and would not make any bookings beyond the expiry date. They also told me they had been telling a number of clients this and said all they could do was put me on the waitlist. I phoned Living Social twice and they told me both times the voucher was valid as long as the appointment was made in advance of the expiration date and they had contacted the vendor twice about this. Living Social then said they arranged once more with Pender Medi Spa to honour my voucher and told me explicitly that the vendor would agree to book my appointment. When I phoned Pender Medi again, they told me they wouldn't honour the booking and that it was my fault for not booking months in advance.
