Aidan was my dentist for about 10 years I think. Most of the time I was living in Cork, but for the last year I travelled from Dublin to be treated by him. Unfortunately I've now moved to Canada which is a bit of a trek for a filling! I can't recommend the practice highly enough. I referred friends here and they were equally delighted. They do their best to slot you in for treatment when it suits-they're open weekdays and also approximately every second Saturday 9-12. The surgery is bright and shiny and always gleaming. It's good from the moment you go in the door. Sandra, the nurse, is lovely and extremely friendly. The waiting room has Sky News and a selection of up to date magazines and a copy of the Examiner. The surgery itself also has a TV if you need distracting-but you won't. Not only is Aidan an excellent dentist who doesn't hurt you; he's also a great conversationalist who is endlessly entertaining. The time flies by! He also doesn't give out. He just tells you what needs to be done. I can't imagine anyone retaining a fear of dentists after attending him. His wife is also in the practice and is lovely. I would go to either of them. And do so happily. So definitely go, but don't say I sent you. Had a tooth broken off and was sort on emergency ... got an appointment really fast, and the tooth fixed even faster. Being new in Cork, I was sort of anxious finding a dentist like the one I had in Germany, but Doc Monahan turned out to be the very best choice. A great entertainer, an excellent dentist and a gorgeous team. Thanks to you guys and to my house share-mate Georgio who recommended him to me.
