Since we live in the U.S., we are quite unfamiliar with the Portuguese language, which made it difficult to understand some of our waiters/waitresses (which it wasn't too bad, but it was sometimes difficult to communicate.) As we were sat down and asked what we wanted to drink, we were slightly surprised to see that our waiter was commenting on some of our drink orders. At first this seemed particularly strange to us, but eventually it became a very funny part of the night. Our waiter continued to act slightly unsocial and didn't seem to want to talk to us more than he needed too. Most of these thing aren't very big deals, and later in our trip they turned into extremely funny memories. As for the food, everyone in our little group found everything VERY delicious. As for me, i particularly enjoyed my burger, as it was cooked to perfection. Overall, our experience had a few bumps along the way, but turned out to be an extremely enjoyable night!

But once I got there I was disappointed. From the service to the food. Not a fan. As a solo traveler I try to learn as much as I can to experience as much as I can to not hamper local spots. I was treated as a massive inconvenience by the people and the food carried the same amount of dissatisfaction. 10 months later I still can remember the bad experience. Fool me once. Worst experience in Portugal. Almost made me regret going to Portugal as I'm sure that was the goal.
