We had a wonderful experience at Route. 3 of us walked in with no appointments and had beautiful tattoos within an hour. I chose from flash, of which there were many options, and the others did custom. The staff was incredibly kind and our tattoos are all excellent. There was a slight miscommunication due to language barrier, but the staff went above and beyond (and unnecessarily!) to make things right. If my mom asks you, this is only my second tattoo. (I can get away with saying I only have one other because the left sleeve practically connects to the right collarbone and quarter sleeve, and when I wear shoes, you can't even see the right ankle or top of left foot.) When planning my winter venture to Lisbon, I saw pictures of Fabiano's azulejo tattoo artistry and knew I had to have one for myself. Such a beautiful way to tell the story of the country and commemorate a trip. I connected with the shop prior to leaving the States and scheduled an appointment for my last night in Portugal. I legitimately dozed off once or twice during the session; not because I was bored, but because Fabiano has a light touch, and the purr of the gun puts me right to sleep. The price was incredibly reasonable and is calculated by the piece versus the time. Tip your artist and don't forget to bring cash for the appointment! If you forget, there's an ATM in a grocery down the street that seemed safe to access. I'll be hitting him up for another piece next time I'm in the city. read more

I stumbled into this place with my partner to get some spontaneous tattoos! The service was fast and professional. Loved the tattoo artist from the mid-west of America. He drew out some quick sketches and had really cool ideas. I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting a tattoo in a clean, safe environment.
