I'm not that familiar with the streets of Quezon City. Hence, one Friday morning, I left home early without eating breakfast to attend a baptism at the Diocesan Shrine of Sto. Nino. I arrived at the church an hour early. I decided to grab a biscuit and juice at the only establishment open at the time -- the 7-11 across the street. I didn't eat a lot because I knew that in a couple of hours I'll be eating at my friend's house during the reception. But to my dismay, the priest was late for almost an hour. It meant I was already waiting for two hours and my tummy was running on fumes. I could hear it rumbling and I couldn't wait for the reception.
So, I went out of the church again and looked for another place to eat. The establishment that caught my eye was Mon Cheese, also located across the street, it had just opened for the day. This small establishment only offers grilled burgers and hotdog sandwiches. I tried their signature beef cheeseburger. The quarter-pound beef was juicy and tasty. It's not the best burger I've tried but it sure satisfied my hunger. The joint is open from 10:00am until 11:00pm. read more
