I had them clear a clog due to my sewer drain backing up which was disgusting so in a pinch I decided to use them. They came out and did perform the service and charged me $900 which I found out was about twice the cost compared to other services in the area. They then offered me a FREE video inspection of my sewer line which was done the next day that took about 15 minutes to do. At that point I was told that my pipe outside may be askew which could have caused the backup. The tech who performed this was very unprofessional and quick to let me know the minimal amount of details needed and was very quick to pack up his camera before I had a chance to take video or pictures of the results myself since I was called away momentarily. When I asked for me to do that I was told that I should have done it earlier. He then came back to tell me for them to fix the problem it would cost $9,000 - YES $9,000! I told him I wanted a copy of his inspection at which point he said he would submit it to his office and I could get one once that's done. I called to get it a day later and their office told me that the tech will call me back which he did and said that he was going to the office to submit it and that if i want a copy of it - IT WOULD COST AN ADDITIONAL $750 - YES $750 for me to obtain the video taken of MY PIPES in MY HOUSE !!!!! It is mind numbing that ROTO ROUTER has the audacity to charge those type of prices. I spoke to his boss later that day who told me he could nothing about it and that I was supposed to be told about the charges by the tech when he performed the service which he NEVER DID!! Then it became a "he said, she said" situation which I knew I would lose. His boss promised me he would at least call me back with the details of the inspection and never did after me calling him back at least 5 to 6 times and texting him as well. So much for being professional. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS and check out local options for these types of services - you will not be sorry.

If they can get to you quickly you will save a ton of money. If none of them can come quickly, Twebber will but you're gonna get RAKED.

He was able to advise me as to the right course of action for one of them and showed me a few tricks for one of the others. I live in an old home with no shortage of plumbing issues from time to time. Jeff had become my "go-to" person. I highly recommend him. You will not be disappointed.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Giovanni Stemma and Michele Licari of 24 Hours Piping & Sewage Services, also known as Mahopac Handyman and John's Plumbing by Giovanni Stemma. In November 2024, I paid a total of $5,300 for plumbing services that were never completed. I made the payment in full for work that was supposed to repair a broken sewer line. However, not only was the work left undone, but after numerous attempts to get a resolution, they refused to return the money. Giovanni initially promised that I would receive a full refund by January 4, 2025, after I had waited well beyond the expected completion date. When that deadline passed, he asked for more time, claiming he would be able to return the money by January 8, 2025--but at this point, I have no faith in their promises. I've already given them multiple opportunities to resolve the issue and have been incredibly patient, but they have continued to break their word and avoid accountability. Michele, who I initially paid, has also been completely unresponsive. This company is not only untrustworthy but completely unprofessional. I am now in the process of taking them to small claims court to recover the money I am owed, and I would strongly advise anyone to avoid using their services. I don't know how they can continue operating with such blatant disregard for their clients and commitments. I wish I had checked reviews before hiring them. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from these scammers.

I always ask for an hourly rate for labor, because if they tell you that "we quote you a job price and we charge a diagnostic fee" you have no idea how long that job will take, and it almost always benefits the contractor greatly, and you pay them whether you hire them or not.
