Despite Moli de Vent's desolate location in the town of Campos in Mallorca, the outside looks chic and grand. But it's the outdoor dining space that speaks. We'd learn the lingo and as with the majority of the restaurants on the island, reservations are necessary.
No one was seated indoors- that's because their star attraction is all about the outdoors- especially in the summer. Winter? I wouldn't know. The terrace is for those folks who appreciate their dinner in an 'into the woods' setting with the shrubs, trees and flowers around and are after that escape from the same-old indoor 'restaurant' approach. Hubs and I loved it.
Our mixed green+mango salad was hearty- but there's something about thin slices of mango on the bias, tomato half-moons for instance that elevate a salad (to me) and looks more elegant than the diced veggies we were served. Sangria had a nice buzz- nothing too crazy- but decent, my grilled Sole filet was nice and hubs liked his sliced pork loin. Almond ice cream and the lemon one were both scrumptious for dessert.
From appetizers to desserts, we had a pleasant dining experience before flying home the next morning. Service is impeccable and friendly- but not overbearing. Our other server Daniella was so sweet. The food wasn't knock your socks off level- but it's good. read more
