Great vintage camera store. This store specializes in film and vintage equipment and is easily the best stocked store for film gear I have ever been too. A lot of the collectible cameras weren't for sale which was weird, I was asked to come back on Wednesday morning and try to convince the owner to get rid of them. This was almost half of the stuff in the store! I assumed a camera store sold cameras.... Still this place is awesome, they process film and repair cameras. They also had a lot of professional equipment along with chemicals and equipment for developing. I found lots of odds and ends that would cost me a lot of time and money on ebay to scrap together. Grips, lights, nuts, bags and lenses. The prices were cheap, beyond fair. If your into film (medium and 35mm) and cameras check this place out, hopefully they'll put some prices on the cameras the nerds want. read more

Wichita is so fortunate to have a local family business like this one. One of Wichita's best gems for sure! The business has been family owned for YEARS! If you go into the store today or even five years from now you can still expect to see the same friendly faces every time you drop by. They have a lot of vintage cameras in the store and you can also ask to check out newer cameras or as about the latest and greatest. I went in here about a year ago to have a lens looked at and I couldn't even locate how to know what kind of lens it was. The only reason I knew it fit a Canon camera was because that is what my Dad had owned his whole life. The worker was able to tell me everything about the lens and how to make it useable on my camera today or to just keep it as a vintage item at home. If you have questions about random items you want for personal or business use you need to go in here and get their professional opinion. They will tell you all your options including different brands. They know it all and will advise you in the right direction for what best fits you and don't tell you what to get just give you all the options. They have been at the same location for years which is nice so if you don't like hunting down where stores move to its great knowing their still located at the same place! If you are looking for used and new equipment they have it here! When they came out with the news Canon model SLR a few years ago I went to the store to check it out. It really unfortunate big corporate America gives large box stores priority for getting these items in store verses giving it to the small business owners to help their store survive and provide the best quality possible to their customers. So I had my name added to the list for when they got the camera in stock to check it out when they had it and buy it from them directly. I am a big advocate of shopping local and supporting our local businesses because Wichita is a great place to live and I want to continue seeing growth through non-chain places. If you are needing to get a quote for insurance purpose on your camera equipment this is the place to go. They will fill out the papers with what you have and stamp it up and write in the cost to replace all the goods. This is great because it is exactly what my home insurance company is looking for so if I ever have to make a claim on my camera I have all the proper documentation on my end and theirs. I have only been in this place once, but from what I could tell, it seems like a cool little shop. They have new and used stuff, such as camera bags and lens cases (that's what I was in there looking for). I found a fairly good sized camera bag and four lens sleeves for 20.00, can't beat that when most camera bags new are at least 60 by themselves. They are the sweetest four legged security guard watching the doors too. read more

This is a very difficult review for me to write as I never feel strongly enough to do reviews, but in short, the Manager of this business made me feel extremely uncomfortable and ill at ease. I was there for help and information and potentially to buy a camera for my hobby and all of the interaction with this person was extremely inappropriate in tone and nature. I would STRONGLY recommend that the ownership reevaluate this individual being given access to the general public. I will never again go to this business and caution any who do be aware of this. read more
