    If I had a chance to not select a star I would…read more I've been a long-time customer of Erik's in Grafton as has my wife and her family (10-15 years). To give you an idea we've bought 8 bikes, skis, ski boots, poles, bike helmets, snowboard helmets, biking gear, skiing gear, goggles, sunglasses, bike parts, snowboard & bindings... I could go on. Thousands and thousands of dollars.. My most recent experience, coupled with a few others, has me going in a different direction from this point forward. I'm in the midst of training for an Ironman and recently had my road bike in to have new pads and rotors put on (late July). Picked it up and brakes worked as they should. I also had, based on the suggestion by the service group, to replace my shifting cables as a preventative measure.. to which I did. Along with this recommendation they also suggested I have a drive train clean, which I declined because I have the know-how and ability to do that myself; I don't need to overpay for it. When I got my bike back, I wasn't able to get into my low gear, which was a new problem since the cables were replaced. I had to go back, explain the issue, only to be told the cable housing should have also been replaced (this never came up during my initial visit). So, reluctantly I had them do this. 3 days later when I picked it up the issue was not solved and Chris, one of the managers, told me I hadn't taken care of my bike, and it was a derailer issue and the derailer needed to be replaced. Mind you this bike is 5 years old... I clean my bike routinely and prior to them replacing my shifting cables there were NOT any issues with the shifting. So now this is my fault and you're suggesting I need to replace more parts? My bike is at this shop multiple times a year for various things, so the bike was not new to anyone there. Conversation went on and I was treated so horribly, so rudely, and to think there was zero regard for the thousands of dollars spent at this shop over the years one would expect a completely different experience. Bottom line... Know your customer and never ever make it look like their fault regardless if it is. Your job as a bike shop is to provide solutions, fix bikes, and make the customer feel good about money they're spending and the value you bring... Instead, I felt like I was a nuisance, and my business wasn't valued nor was it needed.

Both Crystal and Vanessa were very responsive to my emails and flexible with a small, last-minute changes I needed to make in terms of date/timing and entry instructions. It was easy and clear what each of the cleaning options where, as well as the additions you could choose. We added on cleaning inside the fridge and cabinets, which was totally worth it. The cleaners arrived on time and let themselves in via the lock box we left for them. When we returned to see how the cleaning went, we were very pleased! After initially contacting them, they asked me to send pictures of my home so they could evaluate the cost of the service. Following several exchanges via email and phone, they scheduled a team of two cleaners to come to my home for an initial cleaning, which was intended to be repeated bi-weekly. When the team arrived, their demeanor felt uncomfortable from the beginning. They seemed somewhat cold and distant, and I felt as though they were looking down on me. While my home certainly needed routine cleaning, such as vacuuming and dusting - it was not cluttered or excessively dirty. There were no conditions that could reasonably be described as hazardous or unsanitary. I asked the team to use my personal vacuum cleaner rather than one brought from other homes, as I prefer not to use equipment that may have been used in houses with pets or children. I also have a high-quality vacuum cleaner that works very well. They agreed and began cleaning, though their reserved behavior continued. At first, I assumed they were simply quiet or reserved by nature. However, the situation changed when one of the cleaners entered my bedroom and saw a photograph of my stepdaughter, who is Black. For context, I am Asian. After seeing the photograph, the cleaner suddenly said, "I can't deal with this. I can't do this." When I asked what she meant and requested clarification, she simply said, "All of this," and walked out of my home. Shortly afterward, I received a call from Jennifer from the company, who said, "I'm so sorry, it didn't work out. This is more than we were expecting." Because the cleaning was not completed, I asked about the charges, and they assured me that I would not be billed. The behavior of the cleaning team was shocking and deeply upsetting. I left the interaction feeling as though I had somehow done something wrong, even though I had done nothing inappropriate. After this experience, I contacted Two Maids, and Ivette coordinated a team to come to my home. Their team was kind, professional, and welcoming from the moment they arrived. They had no issues using my vacuum cleaner, in fact, they complimented it. They cleaned my home thoroughly from top to bottom. I was extremely pleased with their service. Based on my experience, I would recommend Two Maids over Sparkle Cleaning Service.
