Before our pod disappeared because mold zero forgot to pay for it or decided to stop payment without telling us.

What a disaster! I hate hate leaving bad reviews... so much that I never do! I love giving people the benefit of the doubt. When we first had mold zero come out for our free "estimate" after a leak and mold... the guy we met seemed amazing! Super nice! We were sold and trusted them. Maybe too much. Well months for by. We had a big job. Ripped all our floors up and handled the mold etc. it came back still moldy so they treated again. No problem. In the meantime... they ordered a pod for our driveway to store a bunch of our things. Well at some point they had some employees quit during or after our job. We were dealing with insurance and had not been able to rebuild yet... so we still had the pod. All this was under their contract with the pods company. They never told us to move things out... or that they were stopping payment to pods. We showed up one day at our house and our pod with all our things had disappeared. No idea where it was. We called mold zero and they had no idea either. Sara who used to work there... called pods and finally figured out where it was and confined our things were all still there. She claimed she had to pay pods over $1,200 past due amount to get info on the pod. Then we were sent an invoice to pay this amount from mold zero. Ha yes, you read that right! Not paying an invoice that wasn't my responsibility at all! We would have moved our things our long before and stored in our house! Then I try calling pods to track down where our pod may be and how to get it moved back to our house to unload things. Pods wouldn't release any info to us on our thjngs because it wasn't us on the contract. It was mold zero! I had no pin or account # to get things going! Sara finally released that info to me and I had to pay $150 or so to get our pod moved back. Another amount I shouldn't have had to pay. But was desperate at this point. Then as I figured... after our pod was moved back... everything had fallen down and been tossed around during them moving it. Our brand new $500 crib, a twin bed and toddler bed all damaged as well as an expensive changing pad that ended up in there and is discolored and ruined. Pods also ran over our front yard grass and put a big ole line in our grass. On top of all this... we put down a $1,000 deductible in the very beginning to start the job. In fine print it says if paying with insurance this will be returned(something along those lines) I spoke to Dane who is newer. He is very nice... but he wasn't there when this mess happened and he is trying to clean up pieces. He originally spoke to higher up and offered to give our deductible back $1,000 and like $800 for damages. Asked if we could settle on that and be good. I said I believe so but not sure on damage amount... as I hadn't assessed all the damages. Now speak to him today and he says we paid the past due amount to pods for you... close to $2,000 so we feel we did what we should've done and are complete. ‍ Apparently that $1,800 he mentioned a few months back... he forgot about. Or they changed their mind on. That won't even cover my damages to begin with...but better than nothing. Their original crew who moved things to the pod... I helped them move some things. They stressed to me... don't worry if anything happens to your things... we are license and insured. ahh yeah... I see how much good that did for me. We had them do the estimate for the rebuild.. but why would I use them when they couldn't even make this portion right. All this pod mess happened because someone at their office dropped the ball on a bunch of things. This wasn't our fault... so I'm not sure why we are now the ones hurting over their mistakes. Go elsewhere!!! They claim we gave $2,000 to you what more do you want? No paying the pod company your past due invoice that wasn't mine to pay to begin with... is NOT paying me for my damages or my deductible that I'm owed... that 2 months ago you were going to pay... so unprofessional. Will post pictures below of our pod how it was packed nicely... then when it was moved back and our things thrown around and damaged. Supposed to speak to a higher up tomorrow. I guess I will update if they decide to do the right thing.

The costs are high, the work is challenging and the end results are unknown. So due diligence is paramount in this quest. As it turns out, I put in the work, took several bids and made my choice. I went with Tadlock Roofing and while the result in the end was satisfactory, I can't help but think I might have done much better. I will cover the good first and then the bad. The good. The sales person was very personable, her manager was very knowledgeable and I felt at ease and comfortable. All my questions were answered and I felt confident that I could go forward with enough information to compare their product to others and make a reliable decision. The product was of good quality and promised to last a great many years. The Mexican installation crew were focused, speedy, professional, jovial and detail oriented. They worked carefully in order to limit any surrounding damage to plants and property. The post work clean up was encouraging since the ground was covered in debris and nails and I have grandkids who play out there. They were meticulous in their efforts to leave the yard safe and clean. Now, the less positive aspects. Those friendly faces that promised to be with you every step of the way, did a vanishing act. The half dozen or more documents you are forced to sign that release Tadlock of any responsibility should ANY damage be done to the home or surrounding area felt downright menacing and impart a feeling of helpless doom. A huge laundry list of things for which they would take no responsibility, a virtual cornicopia of small print to indemnify themselves was extremely worrisome. Shingle delivery workers who ignored my many many requests to spread the shingles weight on my roof for safety, downright aloof and nasty was their attitude. The delays in schedule were abundant. Leaving the heavy shingles on the roof an extra week. They left the roofing plywood on the ground in the yard to get wet from the rain for nearly a week. A dumpster sitting in the driveway an extra day. The gutter work was not even scheduled until the roof was completed for more than a week and then days went by without any contact or word regarding the installation. And remembrr those smiling faces promising to be with you every step of the way, still missing. Found out later that Mr. Tadlock sold his business to a national company that fired about 80 employees in our state and closed one or more locations. The girl who came to our house in the beginning was gone. The manager now splitting time between Tampa and Sarasota. It's all downhill from here, with all the cost cutting the company is making, the skeleton crew that is left, it would be wise to consider carefully whether you want to hire this once great company. To be fair, in the end over 2 months later I did have a new roof and gutters. It was quality product and MY installation crew was awesome. Viva Mexico. There are several crews however, you have to make sure you get a good one.

Bright was the morning and high my heart when i set forth to fight the Mad Mold Monster, where events eventually eventuated as I shall now sing. Always anxiously alliterating with world weary wisdom and surprisingly superior sagacity I strove to complete this outrageously odiferous odyssey. Classic Restoration accompanied me on this quest. With Guido's gifted guiding and Karoline's Cagey calculating the Mad Mold Monster was defeated. Now since my furiously flying fingers are suffering from calamitous catastrophic cramp I will veto vociferous vocabulary and tell the tale. Whew! Sagas are hard work! My dishwasher leaked water and it got underneath my floor. Before replacing the floor I was told I need mold remediation. I hired a company to do mold testing and the results were positive for mold spores and a protocol was written. I got estimates from several companies that specialize in mold remediation and was dismayed at the various prices I was quoted. These ranged from $8,000 - $14,000 dollars since it would require tearing out and replacing walls and cabinets. Guido from Classic Restoration to the rescue! Guido informed me that before tearing apart my condo, I should have the flooring in the affected area removed to see exactly what the damage was. This made sense to me and Classic Restoration got the job. After removing the floor Guido determined that HEPA air cleaning, bacteria wipe down of the whole condo, and Bacteria bombing should solve the problem. The cost for these services came to $2,650! This is 1/3 of the lowest price quoted me by the other companies. I cannot thank Guido (& Karoline) enough for their honesty, hard work, and fair prices!
