They claim in their reply on Google that I was aware that the pilot light was out while they were there that is a lie also they say that they're liable but they could get permission from the owner why did you not try to get permission from the owner why did you not contact your customer me and try to work out a solution instead of trying to get through the inspection as fast as possible and click for $600 I would never use Golden State Inspection they think that they are better because they have a busy schedule I would use a smaller company who's not as busy who will do a through inspection this is a very large purchase with a lot of money on the line for them to just ignore their customer is completely unacceptable

He was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Ian is the owner of the company. From my experience with him in this short while , I've learned he is a family man with astounding integrity. Second, I did not contact this company Cal-View Property Inspections casually or without cause. I reached out because there were serious ongoing concerns in my home, involving exposed walls, abnormal air quality, and conditions that affected my family's health and safety. At the time, children were living in the home, and the wall area had remained exposed for an extended period. The inspection was not the cause of the problem. It was conducted because I needed answers about conditions that already existed inside the unit. The inspection helped confirm that mold concerns were present in the air and on surfaces within the home, including in my daughter's bedroom. After the inspection, I pursued code enforcement. That process resulted in multiple code violations being identified, and repairs were required. My family was displaced as a result of the condition of the home, not because of anything this company created. The statements suggesting improper motive or lack of professionalism do not reflect my experience. I hired this company because I needed an independent assessment, and from my experience they were professional, responsive, and helpful during an extremely stressful situation. This company did not create the conditions in my home. They documented them. I am grateful I contacted them.

Walked us through everything, clearly foundation, roof, attic, mechanicals, and finishes. Would definitely recommend Ian for new construction inspections. Great guy and solid inspection. Thanks Ian!

She explained the types of tests needed and how she would be collecting them. She also told me if we needed more testing the samples could be used for up to four weeks. We chose Air Quality for their reviews, certification, education, experience and expertise in the field. They also have many California accreditations as well as national and the BBB. Having the BBB A+ certification means they are trustworthy. The price point for each test made it possible for more in-depth testing which is extremely valuable. If you have mold, fire damage, air quality, VOC, water damage or allergens contact Amanda to track down the source of your issue.

There was an issue with my mold test report from another company and Andrew, the owner, was kind enough to give me a 2nd opinion over yelp messages free of charge, which is why I eventually seeked them out to do a full air testing themselves. Amanda, the technician, came and did a post-remediation air quality test after the mold issue have been resolved and was extremely thorough and careful, exponentially more than the other 2 mold testers that I've used. She answered a ton of my questions with great knowledge and detail, and was extremely helpful in giving me a better understanding of mold and the situation in general. She spent A LOT of time, in contrast to other two mold testing companies that only spent 20mins max. Not only were they more professional, thorough, and answered all of my questions, they also charged me very reasonably for the amount of time and effort they put into their air testing. The last 3 months was quite an ordeal and my only regret is that I did not find this company to begin with. If I have any air quality/mold issues I'll be sure to seek them out again.

I'd give negative stars if that was possible. I knew that I had mold in my residence from prior…read moretesting that was done earlier this year. However, I did not know where the active water leak was that was causing my problem and I hired John Banta at the recommendation of my doctor to find out. I contacted Amy Cluck-McAlister (acluck@restcon.com) (916) 736-1100 ext. 306 in order to discuss mold testing. Amy had John Banta give me a call several hours later to give me a 30min "sales pitch". The next day was a holiday and I scrambled to sign the consulting agreement and e-mail it back. On July 6, 2020 a technician arrived to take the dust samples at my home. I have a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home approximately 1300 square feet in size. I assumed that the technician would take mold samples from each room separately so that I could pinpoint the source of the active water leak. However, this was not the case and the technician spilt up the testing into three different areas. The following are the three (3) areas that Restoration Consultants split up my home for the testing: 1. Living room and Kitchen 2. Bedroom 1 and Bathroom 3. Master Bedroom and Office 4. Rafters in garage (I requested as an additional test) I was told that it would take 30-days to get the results back because of COVID-19. The test results came back on August 7th and I set up a phone call with John Banta to go over the results on August 10, 2020. I spoke with John Banta over the phone for 32 min and 36 seconds. At the end of the call, I still had no idea where the water leak was in my home. Also, the test from the rafters in the garage came back positive for mold but the results did not indicate the type of mold. When I asked John about the DNA portion of the testing, he said that this was needed to determine if the mold organisms were alive, dead or dormant. When I asked if I should just be concerned with the mold that was alive, he said no that all three would have to be removed. I began to wonder what the point was of doing the DNA portion of the test? Also, the outside air was never tested....John then recommended that I contact another consultant, Bill Webber in Oakland (510) 557-5992 if I really wanted to determine the source of the mold. Then I was thinking all of the money that I just wasted with Restoration Consultants (approximately $2,500). John Banta was essentially telling me that because each room in my house was not tested separately that he did not know the source of the water leak. However, I was in luck because I could contact Bill Webber and have him drive all the way to my home in Sacramento so that he could determine the source of the water leak. At the end of the call, John Banta was very rude and ended up hanging up on me. On top of that, I recently received my final bill and they are trying to charge me for John Banta's sales pitch prior to me signing the contract. They are also trying to bill me for a phone call with John Banta that never happened (I checked my cell phone log). Overall, I was left in the same position with the mold in my home as when I started. I ended up hiring Bio Safety Clean and Chris (owner) removed all of my mold for $3,000 (including testing). I have written a review for this company on their yelp page.
