The interior is modern and minamalistic, with comfy leather couches in the reception area. This all goes a long way to providing a warm and welcoming feel. Renaissance Hair's senior stylists are excellent, thorough and highly professional. Both myself and my Mum's stylist is Donna and she is beyond excellent. Every consultation is carried out with the upmost attention and focus on the clients needs and own vision of how they see their final look. She is open to new suggestions and enthusiastic at creating new looks, texture and colour. Her experience shines and this ensures the treatment you receive throughout your time with her is second-to-none. Donna makes you feel relaxed, well looked after and pampered, all without the inane chat that you can get from many less-experienced stylists at less professional salons. All the other stylists in the salon are equally charming. Nothing is too much trouble and you leave the salon with a great haircut and feeling cared-for and fantastic. All ages are welcome and appointments are tailored to accommodate as much as possible. I can't recommend this salon enough and as I didn't find any reviews on the web for Renaissance already, I felt it high time that the girls who work here are complimented on their running of a superb salon. May it long continue and I for one, will definitely be back soon!

Strange little salon. Seems that all of the hairdressers are in fact clones I just haven't worked…read moreout which one came first. Personality-less and cliquey overall it's not a great experience. I went four or five times before I accepted that the girl cutting my hair just wasn't bothered about how I wanted it to look just as long as she could tell me about what she was getting up to on Saturday night and charge me a fortune for the privilege, she was alright. It is an expensive waste of time in my opinion. (Though the same girl did my hair every time so maybe it was her and not the rest of the salon that wasn't very good).

Mike the owner obviously takes great pride in his business and it shows; the place is always spotless, the girls work really well together and there's always a lively vibrant atmosphere. The cuts and colours I've had over the years have been great. I can't fault it. It's a shame to see the other negative review as it doesn't, to me, give a true picture of what is a professionally run, well managed, friendly and inclusive gem of a salon. Lisa Oliver.
