Oooh! So delicious!…read more Boldú sells bread and sandwiches, but their speciality is pastries. Not just any pastries though... doughnuts! They sell all sorts of doughnuts, themed and flavored (during holidays they have different themes like Santa Claus shaped men and they have spiders for Halloween) and filled, and also cronuts! Delicious. Really good. The prices are a little high, but the actual pastries, in my experience, are gigantic, so it equals out. The ladies at the counter are always really nice and have no problem being helpful and telling you which flavor everything is. Great cute, tiny locale, no seats, just a walk in, but really well decorated. Wonderful stuff! Great!

This bakery has definitely been around for at least a century and the original family still runs and manages it. The experience of visiting something so authentic made me feel special. I was invited to try some tiny chocolate dipped croissants by the sweetest and kindest soul, Sandra. The tiny warm croissants just melted in my mouth. They were amazing! Besides that, the family sells several other varieties of scratch-made breads with recipes that have literally been handed down over the years! Authenticity is invaluable, and you can see that every year when the lines wrap around the building and down the street during Kings day for their authentic king's bread (Rosca de Reyes). Also their bread can be perfectly paired with cured meat. I definitely recommend anyone give this place a visit!

This is actually a chain cafe that has many locations scattered around Barcelona however just because it's a chain does not mean it's wasn't delicious! Coffees were about 2.75 euro each and the sandwich was about 4 euros. You can have a light meal for about 5-6 euros here. Not too bad if I do say so myself. The sandwiches were simple; they don't put too much dressing on them besides maybe a schmear of tomato. Bread was on the crunchier side so be aware if you're use to American bread that's soft. Simple and inexpensive for a light lunch.

Order at a counter, and they bring you food to your table. What we ordered: 1. Pinsa Romana with Stracciatella - Translation, a very margherita-esque pizza, but think very fresh and soft mozzarella. The dough is heavier and has a slightly sour taste a la sourdough. First thing we finished and would order again. 2. Aglio y olio + spinach + shrimp. Delicious. Our second favorite and would order again. 3. Cacio y pepe with broccoli added. For my American tastes, this was too heavily white pepper and not black pepper. It was a lot for me to scarf down in one dish and no one else liked it enough to eat this family-style. Would have just doubled up on aglio & olio if I were to visit again, which I would. Overall, a very nice place to sit down and have a casual meal. Would come here again.

Starbucks counter staff ask your name only to mis spell it and mis write it on the cup but I used my app so the technology had my name leaving only mis pronunciation - no doubt it happens the other way when Spanish folk end up in a Dublin Starbucks. The inside ground floor is long, narrow and continuously crowded, but not so much for coffee orders - the big attraction is that there's toilets. Despite it being a huge tourist venue the local politicos don't seem interested in providing public lavatories and the private sector limit toilets to customers. Once you get your drink just go out the back door and be careful there's a step up to outside seating. Don't be tempted to sit on seats for Dunkin unless you have their food or you'll find the hostility from hospitality. Outback seating makes you part of the huge food market that sells enormous amounts of overpriced fish.
