Our 10 year old cat has issues processing regular food and needs fiber. They told us she had…read moremegacolon and needed a variety of expensive drugs. Turns out they were WRONG and doing more harm than good. She simply needs more fiber in her diet... period. After setting up an autoship with Chewy to get her fiber food years ago, and years of a happy kitty, she was suddenly denied by the clinic during shipping with Chewy... They told us she needs to be seen. . . for FIBER. Not meds, fiber! So basically a month before Christmas, while most people are extremely short on cash, they want to hold my cats fiber food hostage until i put her through the stress of a car ride, and pay an extra visit fee on top of the ALREADY expensive food she needs... stress makes constipation issues WORSE in cats btw. We have 5 cats, 3 were rescued and we reared them up ourselves on a very tight budget. We DO NOT have time or money to play around with a vet for our special needs kitty. We're removing our cats from their clinic and going elsewhere. In the meantime we're finding other means of introducing fiber to her food such as pumpkin.

I was charged for these services and was under the impression they had been performed. I did call and also made a follow up appointment for one of the dogs with concerns I had, I was basically dismissed at the follow up appointment and my phone calls were ignored.. I had no other choice but to bring my one dog to a different veterinary for a follow up care. I was informed that the previous vet did not preform what was said on my discharge paperwork. Being charged for services that did not occur is unacceptable , especially when it involves anesthesia and invasive care. They had my dogs for over 7 hours claiming they had emergency's that came in. Not knowing what happened with my dogs is very concerning to me.

It first started with my boy Hank. Two other places almost killed him because they neglected him the proper care and almost killed him. In 2019, unfortunately one of my babies Abby became very ill and had to be put down, Dr. Price knew how bad this was for me and came right to my home and took care of everything. Not everyone would do that. Then in 2020 my other baby Sophia, who was 15 at the time ended up with a lot of health issues. With every ounce of love and expertise Dr. Price was able to care for her and she was with us for two more years until she was 17. And from there on out Dr. Price and her wonderful staff continue to take care of all of my babies. I currently have 6 dogs and 1 cat and I can't imagine having them cared for by anyone but Dr. Price and her staff. Thank you to all of them!

When I called they told me that they weren't accepting clients at this time, but that they would take my dogs since my friend referred me, and she'd been bringing her dog to them for years. I waited two months for my appointment. When I arrived there this morning, I was a bit surprised when the owner asked me if I weren't from the area. It was as though she could not understand why I didn't have a groomer already. But she seemed coolly polite, so I didn't give it that much thought, especially as grooming can be difficult work. I told her that one of my dogs, Molly, a Maltese, had been in a puppy mill for five years. Since none of her former groomers had experienced any problems with her, my only concern was that she'd be frightened. Later on, when I returned to pick up my dogs, the owner told me that she had a great deal of trouble with Molly, though she had no problem with Rosie, the Havanese. She let me understand that she would not be grooming Molly anymore. I was surprised, to say the least. Psychologically, I felt that she was shutting the door in my face. I know that she didn't really have a problem with Molly. She obviously wanted to appear a certain way to the person who'd recommended me. She used Molly, an unfortunate puppy mill dog, to close her door on me.

I have lived with my dog in six different states and I can confidently say that the VCA hospital is…read morethe worst clinic I have ever experienced. They sent my dog home on a Thursday with antibiotics for a failing liver. They said the antibiotics would maybe take up to a week to make her feel better, so we waited. They told me they would respond to my texts because they would be closed Fri-Sun. When I texted on Saturday to ask for help because my dog still wasn't eating, they didn't respond for 7.5 hours. And then they were rude in their responses. Sunday morning we took her to an emergency vet and the vet read the SAME exact blood test results that VCA ran and sat us down to tell us that our dog would have low quality of life moving forward and that every day would be a struggle. VCA should have said that and had a direct conversation with me. They could have spared me the two days of watching my dog suffer. When your dog is in their final days, you would hope that the people who are taking care of your dog are compassionate. I think it was 4pm on a Thursday and the vet just did not want to take the time to actually explain what was going on and guide us. Luckily the emergency vet in Syracuse took care of us and was great at her job.
