The WORST! Go here if you want to be disrespected and jerked around. They wanted documentation of a…read moremedical issue from 15 years ago, which I could not provide. Two days prior to my appointment they told me to get authorization "from a doctor so that they can prescribe antibiotics". In desperation I called my primary care physician, who told me Crestal can prescribe antibiotics. I called Crestal back the next day, told them what the doctor said, and hey presto! All of a sudden they can prescribe - after wasting hours of my time. I am a schoolteacher. I *repeatedly* told Crestal not to call me during school hours. They called me EIGHT TIMES IN TWO DAYS, during school hours. Finally I made it plain to them - I have autistic students, students with no English, I am not permitted to make or receive calls during the school day, so STOP CALLING. The chirpy little twitch on the phone then told me, "Well then! If you won't talk with us when we want, this isn't the office for you, so now your appointment is cancelled!" and SLAMMED DOWN THE PHONE. They're snotty, disrespectful and generally unpleasant. I communicated all of this to my referring dentist, who was happy to refer me to another office. I called that new office and they told me that there should never have been an issue about things 15 years ago, or antibiotics, or any of it, it was all unnecessary. And they were polite, and scheduled me an appointment after school hours. SKIP CRESTAL, go somewhere else unless you like being disrespected and jerked around.

I literally couldn't eat or DRINK anything for two weeks and had extensive issues with the same for a mont. I lost 20 lbs as a result and was only 120 lbs when I went to see him. The graft, especially from the right of my pallet, has permanent nerve damage. I can feel where the graft was to this day and it was 2 years ago. The whole process was difficult and I didn't receive support on what to do with the issues I was having after. I was often not treated as a valued patient. I would seek out a different perio dentist. Before this, I had no fear or hesitation with dentists. Now I am definitely scared on any future work I may need.

His dedication to the poor in Haiti and the under-privileged, who would otherwise have no access to even basic dental services, let alone the quality of those he offers, is commendable. Dr. Rhicard saved me from losing my teeth after a prolonged and debilitating illness, He cared for me with a personal commitment that I was deeply moved by and worked devotedly with my daughter, as well, correcting major orthodontic issues and educating us both as to preventative hygiene methods, as well. His staff is wonderful, friendly and highly accommodating. They seemed to welcome each patient as family, with warmth and yet equal professionalism. There are not enough stars here to rate, highly enough, this fine Dentist! I will and have recommended him to every one I know!! Mariaelena

The hygienists are all very pleasant and kind, and even though nobody enjoys dental work, I don't really mind going to Dr. Rhicard. My favorite aspect, though, is that every time I had a procedure that I needed done, I was given a separate free consultation to review the procedure and answer all my questions beforehand. And once, when the office was running really late, they gave all of us in the waiting room gift certificates for a cup of coffee at The Thirsty Mind right next door so we could wait in more comfort. That's good service!

His latest plus is a friendly office staff who go out of their way to accommodate and hygienists who are personable and talented, in a new office complex with plenty of space and parking. You just look forward to a visit, even if dental work isn't high on your list of pleasures. I recently needed a crown and Dr. Endres drilled, prepared, constructed and fitted a permanent crown, all In under two hours due to his impressive lab work and dental surgery. Amazingly, the almost painless procedure didn't end up throbbing after the anesthesia wore off--a rare experience, which to me means he worked gently even during my numbed two hours. This is a professional you can trust. Don't settle for less.

But when I lost a filling and started experiencing some bad pain, I knew I was gonna have to go. Dr. Darabi and the rest of the Apex Dental crew in Florence have certainly changed my tune. I can not recommend this dental office enough. All of the office associates, hygienists, and doctors are exceptionally kind, welcoming, and professional. Dr. Darabi explained everything he was doing throughout the appointment and made sure to check that I was always comfortable as the procedure went on. He was totally non-judgmental about my lapse in dental care & very straightforward about the work that would need to be done. If you haven't been to the dentist in a while, worried about your lack of flossing, or still have the fear of a 9 year old with a cavity...I can say that Apex Dental will make it a whole lot easier to get that check-up.
