There is a large Asian themed grocery and several small shops as well The only negative about this mall is the public restroom. The Men's restroom is usually a bit filthy with an unflushed toilet and a broken seat or two. They may need to hire a punk patrol officer to help the maintenance people stay on top of the riffraff.

I purchased a lot of items and felt they were very reasonably priced. The staff were extremely happy and pleasant to be around. Unfortunately, it seems like the owner takes a big dislike towards her shop gaining more attention publicly over the squishy toys she sells. She had a short and cold attitude towards those lining up to go into her store (Even though they had driven from over an hour away) and has been hiding products and picking and choosing who she wants to sell to. She has distinctly been hiding the schyllings needoh products and prohibiting her workers from selling to anyone she doesn't approve of, automatically assuming you are a reseller without proof, or she is interrogating you personally to see if she is willing to sell you the stress toy. If she doesn't already know you, she just gives cold customer service. It comes off very discriminating. It's very sad and disheartening that in order to get a toy for your children or for yourself to destress, she causes so much stress. We asked for one of the holiday Needohs and she said there were none. Just for us to see people walk out after us with the same items we had just asked for... So much for supporting a small business and enjoying hobbies with our children and families.

Daiso is great discount. They have so many cute and useful stuff here that I often spend way more time than I planned lol. As for space, it's a decent medium sized store (it's bigger than the small closed down Daiso that used to be in Berkeley) and is very clean and organized. The staff are friendly too and if registers don't have a cashier there is a self-serve check kiosk/set-up whether you can check out and pay easily. I will be back to stock up on more supplies.

Every year during the holidays they have the lighted boat parade which is super fun and well attended. Montecito Plaza is at a great location because you can easily access it off the freeway or if you are going through town. There is a Peet's Coffee across the street if you need to boost your caffeine levels and a Whole Foods Market across the street if you can't find everything you need at TJ's.
