a patio with tables and chairs

Took some friends from out of town on Sunday for brunch. All six of us agreed everything was amazing. It's fun to watch chef cook your meal right in front of you. And he's good. Really good. The made to order omelets and waffles were great. And that potato pancake? Wow. The buffet is awesome. You can still order off the menus too. The place was recently remodeled. The new bar and patio are amazing. Kudos to whoever does the patio landscaping. New interior, chairs and tables too. Great place for a relaxing brunch, especially if you want to let them cook. And oh. Do try the mimosa too.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The main dining area is nice with a lot of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was my first time at Moe's brunch buffet. I thought the food was ok. Giant Belgian waffles, really liked the strawberry sauce., Made to order omelettes. The link sausages were good, the bacon was a bit tough, or I needed sharper teeth? Both the Biscuits and gravy were a little thin. Is there a class on how to make French Toast? Not real sure it's worth $20 but I just had to try it. Our waitress was very nice.

It's very close to the former suburban showplace and located in a strip mall. There was availability in the shared parking lot. When we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the decor and layout of the restaurant. It was busy but only had to wait for a few minutes for them to get a table ready. There were seats at the bar which seemed like a good atmosphere if you chose to sit there. We sat by the window in a 4 top for just the 2 of us. My seat was comfy on a bench. There were many items on the menu that we wanted to try but asked our server for recommendations. My husband ordered wonton soup for appetizer and then Mongolian beef. I ordered the Thai basil chicken. We ate it all! Everything was flavorful and hot in temperature and served just at the right amount of pace. I also ordered the white flower cocktail, it was good and can't quite determine what part of it had a little kick to it! We ordered hot tea for our dessert, they certainly know how to make jasmine tea just right! Restrooms were clean and it's a cozy yet a little upscale vibe but not dressy. I was worried as I had my Star Wars t-shirt on but I layered with a sweater! We will definitely return as I'd like to splurge and try the Hong Kong short ribs!

They had a variety of Chinese dishes, seafood options, and the usual buffet favorites like fried rice, lo mein, chicken dishes, and desserts. Some items were really good and flavorful, while others were just okay. I felt like a few of the dishes could have been a little fresher, but overall there were enough options to find things I enjoyed. The restaurant itself was fairly clean and the atmosphere was relaxed and casual. It's definitely more of a simple, no-frills buffet spot rather than a fancy dining experience. The dining area was spacious and there was plenty of seating, which made it comfortable. It's a good place if you're looking for something quick and affordable where you can try a variety of foods. The service was decent as well. The staff were polite and came by to clear plates and check on drinks. Nothing over the top, but they did their job and kept things moving. Overall I would say it's about a 3.5 out of 5 experience--not amazing, but still a solid option if you're in the area and in the mood for a buffet with a lot of choices.

Ambiance has always stayed the same: cute, cozy, and so comfortable. Now that the booths were removed and they only have regular table seating, service is a bit different (you order at the front or at the kiosk instead of someone taking your order), but I actually love how it all works! The premade food choices are growing by the day. They are always adding to their offerings with new flavors and tastes. I started coming to One world market in 1997 when it was first home by a husband and wife team. It was very special at that time to have a Japanese focused grocery store and I was so happy to have one in the Novi area. This has been my go-to for decades now. When it was transitioning from private ownership to the Noble Village group, owned by True World group, there was a transitional decline, thankfully, that didn't last long and things are developing very nicely. I hear even more growth is on the horizon as they establish an even greater presence in the building next door. I am also thankful that the integrity and the high-quality is very much present and everything they do. The service is always top notch and they try to open up a lot of lanes so people get through quickly because it is busier than ever. The word is definitely out. I've seen a lot of posts on social media and it's bringing in an even greater crowds, which is fantastic! Note: the on-line ordering is also so convenient and their sushi platters are high-level!

Like most places to eat in Southfield, this one will leave a bad taste in your mouth…read more It's a Chinese buffet and all you can eat. Cool, right? When entering this very welcoming establishment you are greeted with a few hundred ink-jet printed signs that say: "EAT WHAT YOU TAKE. TAKE WHAT YOU EAT. WASTE FOOD. PAY DOUBLE -- MANAGEMENT" About half of the food at any given Chinese buffet is sort of lousy depending on how long it's been sitting out, what the ratio of chicken breast to other ground up chicken parts is and whether or not it actually *is* identifiable as food. You *have* to sample, and most people don't waste full plates of food, but with the hostility of the signs, who knows what "MANAGEMENT!" considers waste? While I understand that the profit margin for a buffet tends to be in the "lucky if we break even" category, I have to ask the question: why be an all you can eat buffet if it requires hostility? You can run a single-plate buffet. You can run a carry out restaurant with far less square footage. You can charge a little more. I've worked in Southfield for over ten years. This place has changed hands at least once (likely more, though I got so sick 7 years ago from eating there that the only thing that brought me back was assurances from my coworkers that they were "under new management" and the place did have a different name and completely different interior while also lacking the cement cakes). Service: Overall, not bad. Aside from the passive aggressive (or perhaps aggressive) notes everywhere, the waitstaff was pleasant and prompt. Food: Meh. It's typical of a Chineese buffet in an area known for lousy food service. They had sambal sauce, which was a plus. They didn't have almond chicken and a few other of the "typical" things. They also had no labels above most of the food so some of the items can only be described as "mushy meat with sweet sauce". But I ate what I took and didn't pay double. Avoid.

The menu is strong but limited, which I kind of like- limits decision fatigue, especially after a long day. I ordered the nigiri combo, for the cause. Nigiri is something I've only really gotten into this year, so I'm not an expert, but I know what I like and what I don't. Soft, sticky rice that feels fresh and adhesive but not clumpy, fresh smelling and looking fish. The California roll was a California roll. The nigiri was great however. The shrimp in particular was light and almost creamy tasting? I know that sounds odd but I mean it in a good way. The rest of the fish was good. I even tried eel (this is big for me) for the cause! It was rich and fatty, but not in an unpleasant way as I feared. It was pleasantly sauced, so I was able to try it sans soy sauce and was pleased! I *really* liked the soy sauce here, although they don't give you very much. They also are a bit stingy with the ginger. This was my first time trying tamago, which is a delicately sweetened egg roll stuffed with rice. If you're not used to it, you have to get over the look and just go for it! It's yummy! The restroom was clean but smelled faintly of cigarettes. To be honest... I didn't mind that. It kind of fit with the vibe and gave the restaurant a "real" "edgy" feel, although some people may not appreciate it. The interior is kind of messy and unkempt, but if you keep your eyes on the prize- the food- you'll leave happy!
