My partner wasn't with me so I inquired about gluten free. They said it's not a problem. You might see the outdoor seating in my photo, but if you look very closely, you might see that they provided lap blankets for the chilly weather. Nice! This place is close to Waterford so a good location if you're taking a tour there or doing some shopping in the town. I ordered an Americano and the salmon toast. Coffee was good, food looked beautiful but tasted just okay. Instead of a traditional Benedict sauce they do an avocado sauce which was SUPER lemony and overpowered the rest of the dish in my opinion. I also took a piece of the carrot cake for 3.5 euro as take away which was probably the best thing I had from here. Service was not as friendly as many of the other small cafes I've visited in Ireland which was disappointing since this place is very charming inside. I'd recommend for a quick coffee and cake but have your breakfast or lunch elsewhere.

I will definitely come back.

They do great fish, my Mum brings guests there when she wants to impress. My sister swears by their banoffee, and used badger them every time she was there for the recipe. I was there with a group of friends I hadn't seen since school: we had a room to ourselves, ordered the wine, shut the door and just let go! Really nice to have that privacy and freedom. They have a nice little wine collection, and you can trust the food to be predictably good - tasty and interesting.

We decided to stop off and grab a meal on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. And what a good decision it was. Although a bit unprepossessing in terms of looks (the interior is painted a simple pink and there is little in the way of ambience), the menu offered a surprisingly wide array of choices. As our party of five had very different interests in eating, we all got a diverse set of dishes. From my simple scone and latte to my son's Mexican smash burger, everything was quite tasty and reasonably priced. They do seem a bit short-handed, but overall no complaints at all. The chowder base had good texture, and the fish chunks and shrimps tasted fresh, but some of the mussels tasted like they were not properly cleaned and drained with strong seawater bitterness and fishiness. Thai yellow curry: portion size looks about right for the price, curry flavor was great, not overly spicy but rich enough. Seafood again had the same issue as the chowder: good shrimps and fish chunks but some foul taste in clams and mussels. Brownie: saved some points for the restaurant. Intense chocolate flavor. Overall, food was OK but pricy. Also needs some more attention to details.
