I so love this town. Especially the contrast with the frenetic pace of Milano we just came from. This is the stuff of dreams for this city girl. A home exchange in the Italian Alps, but I don't have to milk my own cows. Everything you need is a short stroll down the hill. Full on grocery store, hotels, restaurants, strudel! (A little bit Swiss here).
I kinda feel like yodeling.
So I can imagine what Moena is like during ski season when all the walking wallets arrive. Waiting for them is a chic winter wear store selling North Face down jackets for 550 euros! (all the way from the states).
Good to know- everything except gelaterias closes from noon to 4pm. Nice life.
Oh, but I can see why everyone flocks here. The view of the buildings dotting the mountains is spectacular. This isn't a Disneyland pretend village, it's the real deal.
I love it here. read more
