For the second time in four months my subscription has been lost or changed. Today they informed me that my subscription had lapsed and there was no card of file. Previously, I noticed I went from the second highest wash to the lowest wash. When I inquired, they had no explanation but offered to put me back into the previous level for $10/month. "It is the best we can do." This Mod Wash is on East Brainerd Road, Ooltewah, TN. There are three similar car washes on East Brainerd Road. I am done with Mod Wash. As far as a car wash, it was fine, don't really have complaints about the employees or experience. However, I would not recommend anyone getting a membership, just pay as you go. Their website is very basic and not much for you to even look up your own information, and when it came time for me to cancel my subcription is where the issues lands for me. On June 4th, 2025, I canceled my Mod Wash subscription online, 12 days (8 business days) before my June 16th renewal date. Mod Wash's policy states cancellations must be submitted 3 business days prior to the next billing cycle. Despite meeting this requirement, I was charged on June 16th, and my account was only canceled on June 17th. When I contacted Mod Wash on June 20th, the representative confirmed my cancellation request from June 4th and acknowledged that the company honors the submission date. However, they could not explain why I was charged after canceling and stated a refund was not possible. No apology or explanation for the erroneous charge was provided, and I was unable to speak with a supervisor. I received an email confirming my account will be canceled on July 17th, but I have concerns about its accuracy given the recent issues. I am moving soon and will not be returning to Mod Wash. I would not recommend a Mod Wash membership to others. read more

Every time I went to the car wash, I would tell them to put the top brush down to clean the hood and roof. I needed to tell them because my car has a roof rack. They said if it did any damage to my car it would be on me. Today I went to the car wash and told the attendant , he wouldn't put it down. He said he was the general manager and this is there policy. Be very careful when using this car wash. I went through and after I went to the vacuum area, I noticed the top layer of my driver doors paint was stripped off about 24 inches long, and 5 inches wide. Jim, the manager filed an incident report and called me a couple days later and claimed they were not at fault that the video showed there was damage already. I went in to see the tape and was shown a grainy picture and a small spot they claimed was damage, not near where the paint was stripped. When I took him outside to have him show me the claimed damages, he simply said that they are not responsible even though the "spot" on the video was actually not on my car. Jim claimed that they dont have insurance for these types of damages, so unless you want to run the risk of thousands of dollars after spending $17, I would steer clear of Mod Wash. read more

So I paid for the 17 dollar car wash which, I thought would get the big guts off my car. They were friendly and waved but spent less than a power washing the front of my vehicle. And there are other places that actually dry it for your and you tip for 17 dollars. They do provide you a space and towels yourself to hand dry your vehicle and that gave me time to see what a crappy wash it did for the money I paid. I could have gone to my local place for 8 dollars and done hand drying and it look the same. Very dissatisfied. And there was still blue soap coming from my vehicle meaning it didn't rinse. I guess if you live in an apartment and do a monthly thing during the winter and have no other choice but I've gotten mine done at team blue for the same price and when something was missed they did fixed it with none of my own elbow grease. Stay away from here, the carwash doesn't fully clean vehicles. then they will refuse to cancel your membership in person. They'll tell you you have to do it online and then they decline to approve the cancelation on the submitted website form. read more

Negative 5 stars. Worst car wash at which I've ever wasted my money. Was still dirty afterward in many places. Also, heard a loud crashing noise at the end from who knows what. Bought a membership in March and got a good wash and plenty of time to vacuum. Went back in 2 weeks and could not get a wash as my license plate could not be read as being a member. Emailed customer service about this and got no response. I then cancelled in less than a month, but my credit card continued to be billed monthly. I went to Modwash and explained this, leaving a letter documenting my experience. I was told I would hear from the manager within 48 hours. Got no response, but my credit card was again billed 4 days later. I am feeling at this point that the membership is a scam; I have been billed for 9 months and have received one car wash without being able to access a second and with my cancellation within the first month ignored. Had a good experience at this car wash. The line moved fast with several cars in front of me. When you get to the pay stand there are people there to help you. Since I was just driving through town I got the single wash which is $10. There are options for a membership. My car was a hot mess from driving on the turnpike through salt and snow. When I came out on the other side of the wash there still was some salt on the side of my car. I wasn't surprised because it looked horrible before it. I was relieved to see out of my windows again. If I could give it a zero I would. If you want to take a chance of your car getting dented and scratched, and management taking ZERO accountability for it, then this is the place to go. Read other reviews too and see that it wasn't just our experience with this company. They'll blame it all on you, regardless of whatever situation happened to your car. One manager even told me "several incidences" have happened (Kim Acres Drive, Mechanicsburg is the location I'm referring to) and had the nerve to say that some other people's damage was pre-existing. "They just didn't notice it until after their car was cleaned from their car wash." After our car was damaged, he was only concerned about their equipment and not once asked if we were ok or apologized. What one employee said (taking accountability) was completely opposite of what management said when we pursued this to have them do the right thing and pay for our damages - which of course they wouldn't because was "our fault". ModWash fixed a lot of the parts in the actual wash that were not working for months. My car got cleaner than is has in months coming to this wash. Staff was attentive. I was here yesterday, 08/31/2023. The whole time in the car wash it seemed like my tires kept hitting the rails that keep your car straight. When we exited something was dragging under my vehicle. My grandson looked and it was a plastic bucket stuck under my vehicle. He pulled it out. I went inside and told the guy that I had a bucket under my vehicle from the car wash. He seemed unconcerned. I have been a customer of Mod Wash since it opened in Mechanicsburg and for the most part , very pleased. Lately I find that the automatic wash is not up to par, just yesterday I went through the wash and it did not even clean my hood, windshield and several other areas. There are several other car washes just opened in your area, I would thing you would step up your wash not downgrade them. If this continues I will look at one of the other local options. They had an offer for one month pay 25 dollars and get as many as you want in a month. they have been charging me for 7 months. They can only refund 3 months which is total BS. that is considered old billing they said. there is a new term for you. I believe this is what we call bait and switch. not and honest company. Never use Modwash. They do not care about consumers. It's about money. Once they get it they are done with you. First, something I failed to mention, was the scratch I got on the hood of my car from the wash. I never complained because I thought I could buff it out. I worked on it yesterday. I got it lighter but it did not come out. I should have known. I never cared for wagers with brushes. A muddy truck goes through and you may have something in a brush. I also suspect they recycle water. Great for the environment but can miss contaminants. My main complaint was that I saw a pending charge (I didn't see it was recurring on the site). The pending Charge was shown on May 15. I canceled Immediately. I joined on April 18th. Then I see I was charged on May 17th. I called and they said I did not give three days notice. After arguing and wanting a refund they say their policy is no refunds period. I ask for a supervisor and they are conveniently in a meeting. I tell them I see numerous refunds to people in reviews. They say no refunds. So I contact the Better Business Bureau. There are numerous complaints and some were given refund. The company continues to give me the runaround saying policy and pricing is clearly shown. The website is terrible. You can't see prices unless you start a purchase (dangerous). The price was $30 for their best plan. Then, not only would they not cancel but the charge was 52.99. I did not see anywhere that there was an increase the second month. I can go to a touch less that doesn't scratch 5 times in a month for that price. With the same (or equivalent) features. The response was they never refund. They added a free month. Thanks but no thanks. I am not even going to be around to use it because of vacation, travel and work. I refuse and point out that a refund is the same cost and there are numerous occurrences of refunds listed on the BBB site. Their answer was a complete shut down and run around. Suddenly they say every case is different, which acknowledges they are lying about no refund Ever. Then they claim it's because I joined online (you almost have to). And billing is computer generated so the three days prior cancellation rule is firm. Really? I joined April 18th. I was billed the 17th. A day short of a month. Canceling on the 15th should have canceled the charge. They refuse to do a refund. So I am out $50+ I will never use. I have two months of a mediocre car wash at best that I never will use. We hand washed this weekend because it missed the wheel wells. read more
