He is patient, accommodating, and communicates well throughout the process. The quality of the work was excellent, and Gerik was on site consistently, personally handling the plumbing and overseeing the other work. His dad completed the tile work and is a true craftsman. Their company demoed my bathroom, including the shower, and rebuilt it exactly to my vision. The finished space includes beautiful floor and shower tile, a floating vanity, and all of the necessary fixtures, executed cleanly and professionally. I am not an experienced contractor, so there were things I had to figure out along the way. Gerik was very helpful in walking me through decisions and making sure nothing was overlooked. That support made a big difference for me as a homeowner. I will be posting photos soon, but I did not want to delay this review any longer. For other homeowners considering a bathroom remodel, here are a few things I learned that may help. Decide on your trim pieces and colors early, especially tile edging. Choose grout colors carefully and have your shower and sink fixtures in hand ahead of time so you can confirm finishes match, especially with gold tones. Ferguson Home was the best showroom I found for selection and knowledgeable help, but you do need an appointment. If you are considering a smart bidet toilet, do your research, some models are larger than standard toilets, though compact options do exist. If walls are open, consider relocating outlets for best placments, and make sure your vanity light will be centered if your new vanity size changes. Also, you may need bullnose tile that you did not originally order, so plan for that. After returning a shower door to Home Depot, I spent a little more and used Legendary Glass out of Moorpark for a more custom, premium, amazing shower door. We wanted to upgrade our living room fireplace to give it a modern look with tile. Demolition had been done but the rest of the job could not be completed at the time. So, my initial thought when re-doing my kitchen was to save money and use vinyl peel-and-stick tiles as a backsplash. Shortly after we starting using our air fryer more and more, we realized that the adhesive was failing! When that failed, we used my father-in-law's handyman to install subway tile, buuuuut, it was apparent that tile was not his strong suit when it took him almost 6 hours to do a 3 ft stretch... The rest of the work he did was definitely sub-par, and when I went to get a quote to have Garrik and Modern Tile do the grout, he pointed out that there would need to be some significant rework before the grout could be applied. I want to start by saying I did not use modern tile for a specific project, rather I contacted them and they were by far and away the most helpful and in-depth with their response back to me. My husband and I had about 200 square feet of damaged terracotta tile from previous contractors and upon requesting quotes and sending pictures around, we had a very difficult time getting an answer with what to do. Modern tile doesn't offer the repair service we requested, but Garik provided us a detailed response laying out the steps we would need to take to fix the tiles and said that while they would install new tile if we chose to, they would recommend finding someone to strip and reseal the tiles. Based on the level of care they provided someone who wasn't even going to use their services, I wouldn't hesitate to contact them when we need future floors put in our place.
