Used to be my favorite place but pretty lacking recently. There on a pretty quiet Monday afternoon. Everything seemed rushed and definitely not relaxing. No real massage with the deluxe pedicure and the deluxe manicure consisted of a file, polish and out the door. Not impressed, time to move on. read more

The first time I went there I sensed Ann had not been there long and was not really familiar with dips or SNS. She did a decent job and there were aspects of the French dip I didn't care for. A month later I tried someone else and it went down hill. This time it was Tam. I again asked for a French dip and she argued with me and gave me acrylics instead. I don't like them as they do not last long, I know they are not good for my nails and they feel weird. I'm the customer and I'm paying. I've been doing dips for the last 5 years. I think I know what I want. Time for a new salon. read more

Modern Nails do great jobs on manicures and pedicures but....don't waste your money on messages. Probably not the worst message I have ever had but close to it. The room was very cold, you could hear all the noise from the nail room even over music and it made it very hard to relax. Also the message creams were cold, the towels were cold and the cream felt like when you put on Icy Hot. Smelled as bad too. As far as just the message goes it wasn't very good either. Suggestion...go somewhere else for a message. read more

This salon really doesn't get enough credit, especially on Yelp. I've been to a ton of nail salons over the last years and Modern truly does a great job. I love that I can trust that no matter who I get to provide my services, they are the quality I want. They stay very busy! Their whole staff is very apologetic of waiting for even a few minutes, which isn't necessary, but they are very kind! Will keep giving this salon my business. Also, for anyone visiting for their first time- they are not able to process tip on their credit card machine, you'll need to bring cash. They also have an ATM in the salon if you need it. read more

So I tried this place once again because it's close to my work. They never have consistent prices so I stopped coming after a few times Today for convenience I stopped in and I got my eyebrows arched and they are horrible. I will have to draw them on to make them look half decent. The manager said oh well it's $8.00.... no apology or anything. Very bad customer service skills. I walked in and they did my nails a week prior and 3 of them had fallen off already, then i came to get them fixed and they told me they couldn't do my nails unless i add tips to them even tho they did them without tips a week prior and then they kept trying to tell me no we will do them after i told them if it's a problem i'll go somewhere else but they said only if i add tips when they know my job i cannot have long nails very very upset with how Tiffany spoke to me and treated me during my stay and she was very rough with me when finally doing them how i asked. read more

Went yesterday for the first time. Lena was my technician and she was amazing! First time in awhile that I had someone really pay attention to what they were doing to my nails. She was quick and very efficient. The interior was very clean and modern. I also added the 10 min neck and shoulder massage while getting manicure and it was amazing! I was pleasantly surprised when I paid and for a manicure with shellac plus 10 min massage was only $35! Awesome! Only bummer was you had to tip cash and can't put on card. I will return! read more

This is hands-down my favorite nail salon I've been to. You are treated like a VIP and the nail tech never acts like she is in a rush to finish. Today I had Kim do a VIP pedicure and she was incredible. She reminded me of my grandmother. She was very friendly and did an amazing hot stone massage. Her pedicure was flawless and it is all for a reasonable price. I definitely continue to come for my pedicures! read more

Anytime I come here to Modern Nails, it is amazing. The experience is awesome, never had a bad tech, they always greet you with a smile and a hello. The pedicures are amazing no matter which one you get (as I get the best one always, but have done them all). I highly reccomend Modern Nails no matter what!! My daughter is visiting from out of state and she and her husband wanted a pedicure. I recommended Modern Nail in West Columbia. It was a huge mistake!! The pedicures were all right. My daughter also got a pedicure. That's where it all went down hill. The smaller Asian man that did the work was rude and argumentative. He would not do what she asked and did a very poor job!!! Very disappointed in the service I received not once but twice. The customer service is not the quality it use to be. The owners and employees use to care about their service. They are a very busy and their business is booming but I feel they now only care about the revenue that is coming in and not the customer. My pedi was awful!!!
