I am writing this review after my first time at the salon. The service and the overall job was decent but I was especially put off when it came time for my manicure to be asked if I was "just here for dip or a manicure". Confused, when I asked for clarification I was told that if I needed my cuticles cut, nails filed, etc. that constituted a "manicure" which would be an additional $10 in addition to my dip polish which was $45.00. I have been getting my nails done for over 15 years and have never been asked this question let alone been charged for what has always been given when getting your nails done... A regular pedicure, dip, and the additional "manicure" component came out to be $88.00 prior to the tip. These are comparable prices to California in CNY (let alone, without the quality of service...). Very disappointing. Will not be returning. read more

Great salon and I plan to come here regularly now. Extremely clean, great color choices and very good nail technicians. I had a great gel pedicure. Very relaxing, did one of the best jobs I have had and I was done in 40 minutes. Love the efficiency and organization. The atmosphere is relaxing and everyone is friendly. I was a walk in for a pedicure. I had to make an appointment and come back in an hour because they were busy. That was fine for me. They took me right in on time for my return. The woman who did the pedicure was very inexperienced. She cut my nails crooked and did not file at all. She used the scrub on the front half of my legs only and did not use enough water so it hurt! Then she did not rinse it off well. She painted my toes and they are lumpy. No top coat and there is remnants of scrub on them in the polish. She "slapped" on lotion on my legs and did not rub it in but wiped it off with a towel. . When I put my sandals on there was clumps of unremoved lotion on bottom of my foot. I was slipping around in my sandals. It ruined an expensive pair of leather sandals. If this is how it usually is, I would not recommend. read more

Best salon around. Super friendly staff, very clean and nice environment. Great pricing, and fabulous work. I've been to many different salons and this is by far my favorite. I get a full set of acrylic usually with a design and this salon actually takes their time and makes sure I'm fully happy before I pay. Highly recommend! read more

I was a walk-in and they took me right away. Unfortunately that's where the good ended. The man doing my nails was also in charge of answering the phone, scheduling appointments and greeting people as they came in. He was constantly distracted. He did not have me soak my hands or trim my cuticles, no lotion to my hands and he applied the polish stopping at my cuticles so when done, my nails had a gap at the base. His work area was cluttered and dusty but I did have a clean towel to place my hands on. When I went to wash my hands, I noticed mold around the base of the faucets. The sink area was a mess. My manicure took 15 minutes total with another 10 minutes sitting on a couch to air dry my nails. Suffice it to say I'll not return. I have since gone to another salon in Manlius where my manicure was done right and the salon was clean read more

Staff was very friendly and polite. The place itself is decent sized and very elegantly decorated. A wonderful ambiance! I went for a basic pedicure. The pedicure chairs looked new had these gorgeous orange basins, and the girl doing my pedicure lined the basin with a brand new plastic lining. Meaning my feet aren't being soaked in other people's feet germs. I loved this. The girl doing my toes wore gloves as well which was wonderful. She was a kinda rough but very nice and meticulous. Unfortunately a day later one of the toes is chipped. She also gave a little foot and leg rub with lotion after which was nice. read more

I really dont know what to say after I just got my eyebrows done here. The woman left the wax on for too long and literally ripped off huge chunks of my skin. This has happened one time before but never this bad. I came in hoping to look better and clean up my eyebrows a little bit. Now, I am not only embarrassed but in pain. I have come to modern nails the last 10 yrs, mostly to get my eyebrows done but also indulge in other services when I can. I go in every 2 to 3 weeks specifically for my eyebrows, well today I decided to go in after not having them done since before the holidays and this lady barely touches them!, whenever I get her she does this to me!, I'm sick of not saying anything and spending a 20$ bill for nothing!& yes I'm a generous tipper. My eyebrow hair is very course so they always need to be waxed and trimmed...you can tell by looking at them..aren't you supposed to be professional and know this?, I guess it's time for me to find a different place to go for my services! read more

Have given this location 5 chances at doing even a halfway decent job. Two men's pedicures, two women's pedicures, and one powder dip. Each time the pedicure lasted 20 minutes or less. The last men's pedicure was ELEVEN minutes and he left with dirt still under his nails. Each time the polish/dip chipped within days as well. Don't waste your time here, there are several excellent salons in the FM area. This just isn't one of them. read more

Ooooh boy. This place has gone so far downhill.... My sister and I used to go here all the home when we were in town, and then we came in for pedicures a few days before my wedding. Let's just say, don't ask my sister if she enjoyed her experience. We were rushed, only got one coat of polish each, they demanded a check from her before her nails were dry, then basically pushed us towards the door. Before we even made it out the door her nails were ruined. Literally, the polish wiped right off as she put her shoes on because of how quickly they wanted our seats. Rude. Expensive. This place is amazing and the atmosphere is above and beyond expected. They have renovated it and now offer more amazing services.
