I only decided to try this place because my husband washed their windows. If I could give 0 stars I would, I will NEVER forget the day I left this salon in tears after I was told blonde hair could not be done on my hair texture and wouldn't look right with my complexion. THE AUDACITY!!! By the way... check my pictures I look great blonde, someone else was able to get the job done. This Salon is amazing. Everyone is very professional and courteous especially Charlie. She takes great pride in her work. She will not let you leave her chair unless you are completely satisfied. She is so honest and if you have a question or a problem she is more than willing to do everything in her power to fix it or help to resolve the situation. I have found her to be completely professional at all times. She works hard and I have even known her to work extra hours to help if needed. Extremely disappointing As a college girl getting your hair done by a professional can be quite pricey. I had gone to The Fringe before for a couple of hair dye treatments but I finally decided to take the leap and get hair extensions. My consultation went well and a few weeks later got my extensions put in. My extensions lasted TWO days when they were supposed to last a year with monthly maintenance and proper care. I followed all the care instructions but found my extensions falling out after 2 days. Let alone the fact they were ripping out my own hair with them. I went to get the couple of extensions that fell out of my hair put back in and found them falling out again a day later. My hair also had looked so fuzzy and fried without using any heat on them and the correct hair care. Remind you these were $200 dollars just for the hair and they looked so much worse than my $60 wig I own. I went after 2 weeks to have the remaining 3 extensions removed as a whole head of extensions had fallen out. I did my research into the extensions they carry and they had so many reviews of people experiencing the same thing that I did. I discussed the potential of getting my money back and they said they would contact their rep and then contact me I waited a month and two weeks and still hadn't heard back. I went into the salon and the hairdresser tried to blow me off and it was the receptionist that gave me the owners phone number and said they would contact me. They kept up their reputation throughout the ordeal and did not call me back on the day they said they would. End of the story they told me they could not refund me EVEN A PENNY and even would not refund me for the installation of the extensions. They calmly took $300 from a hard working college student promising results of extensions lasting a year for them to last two weeks. Utterly disappointing that they treated me as a customer so badly and the greed and lack of remorse they had that they could not even make an effort to accommodate for a customer that did not receive the results they PROMISED. read more

Bethany treated me like I have been her customer for years. I was given one of the best cuts I've had in a long time, and they only use the great Aveda color that I've come to trust. I recently moved back to Syracuse from living in Manhattan for 4 years. Ive been on the hunt for a new hair salon and did some research and asked around - everyone said fringe was the place to go and boy were they right. I've been getting my hair cut in NYC for the past few years and I have to say Tyler gave me the best haircut I've ever gotten. She was extremely thorough, and very detailed with every cut, which is exactly what I was looking for. I have long blonde hair and in the past I've had hair stylists not blend properly and give me a choppy cut. Tyler was fantastic. Also the products she used were great. In the past I've had stylists put too much of something in my hair that's made it very greasy but she paid attention to my kind of hair and what would or wouldn't work and my hair came out full of body and movement. I'm a student at SU and have been looking for a salon that I could really trust to do my hair. After several internet searches and reading reviews I decided to give Fringe a try. When I went to Fringe to get a haircut, I had not had one for about 5 months--so needless to say, I was in dire need of a haircut. I have very fine hair and it was long and full of split ends before my cut. I went in and was a bit skeptical because of how many salons that I had been to in the past that have done poor jobs cutting my hair (aside from my usual one that I go to at home in DC). Colleen cut my hair and she reassured me several times that I was in good hands. She told me that she was a perfectionist when it comes to cutting hair and always double checks everything (which she did). I got 3 inches cut off, so it was definitely a different look for me. Cutting the 3 inches off instantly made my hair look healthier & fuller in body than before. She shaped the front to frame my face, which looks great and also did a bit of layering. I'm very happy with my new hairstyle. Not to mention that my haircut was only $50 (without tip), which is very reasonable, compared to the $70-90 I have to pay in DC. I also got my eyebrows waxed with Angela and she was excellent! I have a cowlick on one of my eyebrows so if you don't know what you're doing its easy to mess up. Thankfully, she knew how to handle it and did a wonderful job on my eyebrows. She was insistent on making sure I was happy with how they looked. Definitely going back in the future!
