I am giving three stars because my two nieces both had 5 star service. If I were rating my own experience I would give it a one star. The tech that did my manicure and pedicure was obviously going through the motions and barely scrubbed my feet and rushed to get my toes and finger nails polished. He actually started after my nieces services but finished both of my services before theirs were done. The only time he talked was asking if I wanted gel nails which was an up charge which I declined. The final straw was while waiting for my nails to dry he said they were dry and walked off and did not give me slippers. When I asked for them he slapped them down near me and walked off. I then called him back and also mentioned that the polish on my thumbnail was messed up and asked him to fix it. He begrudgingly put on my slippers and simply painted over the messed up nail. From the pictures it is evident that that did not work. I also noticed the polish on my left great toe was also messed up so it wasn't dry. I won't bother to go back to have it fixed and definitely won't return. As I mentioned, my nieces both had a great service which I appreciated since my oldest niece graduates from high school tomorrow. read more

I'm sorry I don't usually leave reviews, but this is maybe the eighth time I've been here, and I would say I've been happy only once. Today was the worst it has been rushed in and out didn't clean my cuticles at all for my manicure, and the dip is horribly thick (photo for reference.) I don't wanna stick around for it to be fixed, but if you come here, word of caution: just be very specific about what you want. read more

The Worst Customer Service Ever!!!! They lack skill set related to performing basic filing of nails. The manager was very rude. The manicurist filed my nails horribly and when I asked if she could fix it she slapped my hand. I told please handle my hand with care.The manager then yelled you too difficult you can leave. I told him I would and he yelled don't come back as if I wanted to come back. read more

You would think ouch or ow is a universal response for that hurts but that's not the case here. The guy was using the tool to remove the gel nail polish from my toes and was grinding my skin. I had to verbally let him know that he was hurting me. The worst part was that he got upset at me and another guy working there was glaring at me because I said something. I have been here quite a few times in the last several months...and have LOVED it every time! The gel pedicure last for over a month! They are so well staffed I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes...even on a Saturday. Each tech that has helped me has been very nice! I went almost a week ago now and my nails are already lifting. I wanted to go because Willie was there and usually he's does a good job. Before arriving I called to see was he in and available. I get there and he saw that I came and he was told by Jason that I was there. It took him 10-15 to show me where to sit and no once did he ask me what kind of pedicure I wanted. He did the basic bare minimum. When I say I will NEVER go there again I will NEVER. I stopped going for awhile because he had been rude the last few times but decided to give him the benefit of a doubt since it had been some time but obviously he's tired of working. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Tonight I got acrylics with gel polish. The shape of my nails are completely off, the polish is streaky and bumpy and the nail tech didn't even bother to ask if I wanted my nails trimmed or cuticles cut, nor did he even push them back or even out my nail beds before applying the powder. He also cut the tip of my finger and then proceeded to cover the cut with a solution and didn't even apologize. Needless to say, my nails are completely uneven. In total I spent $45 for the worse nail experience imaginable. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Firstly, let me say that the gel mani I got was pretty ok but the reason I won't be back is because of the terrible customer service. The first time I went, I had an appointment, and the girl behind the counter told me to write my name on a check-in sheet. She then wandered off to find someone to do the manicure - didn't say anything to me, just wandered off. There was one guy eating chips and watching something on his laptop, another guy was snoozing on the big round pedicure station and a girl was playing with her ipad. Despite the overwhelming inactivity in the salon (there were no other clients), it seemed like the front desk had to cajole someone into doing my nails. I kind've felt like I was intruding on their afternoon. Finally, a manicurist emerged and I got pointed (literally pointed) to the table to sit. Then yesterday I thought I'd give them another go because maybe the first time they were just having an off day. I walked in and asked the front desk girl (same one as previously) whether anyone was available to do a pedi. She looked at me and without a word walked back and drummed up someone. Then she came back and said, have you chosen your color? I couldn't see the polish so asked her where they were and she pointed to behind the reception area (not visible when you walk in). So I went around and chose my color. While I did that, she chatted with another customer. When she saw me standing there with my color, she pointed to a pedi station without saying a word. At that point, I put the polish back on the shelf and told her I'd changed my mind and left. Now, I should mention - the receptionist is American. Meaning English is her first language. I totally understand why sometimes there's a language barrier and the use of hand gestures is utilized. I've been in plenty of nail salons run by Vietnamese or Filipinos and communication is limited. But this American, English-speaking girl elected to use hand gestures instead of words to direct me. You would think, in a town with dozens and dozens of nail salons, that some priority would be placed on customer service. Wouldn't you? read more

my wife and daughter were in there this evening. the lady that did my daughters toes messed it up completely and then every one of the other workers came by and just laughed. my daughter and wife were both extremely uncomfortable and to top it of they did fix the issue. extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend . Within 5 minutes of being seated I had a nail technician in front of me to begin my pedicure, which I was very pleased with, however he got done much to quickly and did a poor job (didn't even put a top coat on and poor job with cuticles). In addition, I could visibly see dirt on the tubs in the facility, and the utensils they used on me did not appear to be new or clean (even the gloves the employee put on). read more

I have been going to to this nail salon for over 5 years though sometimes I'm Am not satisfied they always make it right. They do great eyebrow waxing, pedicure, gel nail, coffin acrylics. I had my own nails dipped here they done a horrible job in which the dip was very thin they took the drill to my nails and made them so thin they hurt when I returned to have one fixed because it cracked they wanted to use the drill again and when I said no they was gonna put a fake nail on for what reason idk that's when I just said forgot it and left! I'll not return here again they have damaged my nails and made them so thin they bend. I thought the reason for SNS dipping powder was to keep my own nail healthy but apparently not to these idiots. Bad experience! Took my granddaughters for a treat of manicure and pedicure. They rushed through all three girls, in fact, the oldest had a pedicure that lasted 9 minutes. The second has bubbles dried in her polish. The third chose a nail polish that was so watery they couldn't use it. No offer for her to pick another. We were rushed to pick a polish even though we arrived 15 minutes early to appointments. The chairs were set way too far back so girls had to sit on the edge of the seat. I requested they give them something to lean back on and staff completely ignored me. Lastly, when I was given the bill, the prices were not what was listed on their website. I questioned the man checking me out and he then all of a sudden didn't understand english. We were totally ripped off! So upset for the girls and not happy it cost over $100! read more

I wouldn't recommend this place and won't be going back. My mom and I went in expecting a relaxing mani pedi and that is NOT what we received. We called and set up an appointment ahead of time, but when we got there nobody was ready to help us. Nobody made any effort to help us until they overheard my mom said, "10 more minutes of this and we're going somewhere else." The mani and pedi's were a let down. The guy that did my mom's nails wouldn't stop hurting her. He was "massaging" her hands and wouldn't quit popping her thumb even though she repeatedly told him not to do that and that he was hurting her. He also tried to rub her shoulders and it made her very uncomfortable. The guy the did my pedi used the calouse remover way too much. I had to tell him to stop multiple times because he was rubbing my feet raw. He would nod, move to another part of my foot, and then go right back to the area he was rubbing raw. The girl that did my nails obviously didn't want to be there. She would sigh heavily every time one of the guys would make a joke. She whined repeatedly and her nails were dirty. I mean, you work at a nail salon....clean that green and brown dirt out from under your nails before you do someone elses! Not to mention the terrible job she did on my nails. I got the shellac on my toes and nails. My toes look great, but my nails look like she gobbed polish on with no rhyme or reason. read more

I have been going to Modern Nails for about 2 years and I usually got fairly good service. Two months ago I went and after waiting for 1 hour to have my nails done I got up and left. People were coming in to have Pedi's done and were immediately waited on while I sat there. Last week I went in to have my nails done and they were very busy so I knew I would have a wait, but again, people came in for Pedi's and was immediately waited on while I sat. The final straw was after 45 minutes of waiting a lady came in for a polish change on her toes and nails and the owner of the shop told one of his manicurist who was getting ready to wait on me to take the polish change first.
