FYI - I have children that are now adults so don't even have reasons to come to a Pediatrician…read moreanymore. Plus, when my children were younger, we actually went to another group since I don't think this practice existed (20 years ago) or were near where we lived. The reason why I am giving this rating is, because I have had the opportunity to come here three times to actually teach pregnancy yoga (I subbed for their regular instructor who is awesome). Parkside Pediatrics had been offering pregnancy yoga (Wednesday evenings) knowing that there's benefits to both Mommy-to-Be and baby. Beforehand it was drop-in donation-based but they are now charging a very small cost which they donate to charity. This makes more sense as they can now be sure who is registered and planning on attending, and the participant can receive information. The facility is very nice and I like how they have two different entrances and lobbies for well and sick children. They have staff members /receptionists who are friendly and I was actually quite shocked and pleasantly surprised that they have late hours because you never can plan when your child becomes ill. Other interesting fact is on their lower level, there is an entire Breastfeeding Center. I don't know if they have classes, probably, but there are supplies and information regarding equipment/supplies . . . which is wonderful. I would have loved that when I needed it. The pregnancy yoga class that I setting up for one time was after hours and one of the owners/doctors saw me setting up for the class and took the time to introduce himself and ask if he could help. As always, the relationship with your doctor is important and usually extends with their staff folks. Though I don't have direct experience from the medication needs side, it is good to see a very clean facility that offers much to its patients.

They used to bring a small family-like feeling but they have expanded so much you are now just another insurance bill for them. Over the past 2 years we have had to come in for medication checks which take less than 5 minutes. Every single appointment has taken a minimum of 45 minutes in the lobby, and then at least another 30 minutes before the doctor comes into the room. They need to stop over scheduling the providers so they don't rush through the appointments and the patients actually feel like they care.

The absolute worst office I've ever experienced. No passion, no drive and certainly no urgency…read more Plan on waiting an hour over your appointment time.

Everyone will tell you it's the best and yes they probably are. I have had some discouraging…read moreencounters but I'm also a newish transplant from the North and when we started here when my son was born 13 months ago I was very confident in choosing them. I love the Five Forks office and Dr Dobson is more than fantastic but it's often difficult to see him unless it's for a planned check up visit or I often have to wait two weeks and possibly go to a different location; some of which I refuse to go to. The office staff are the friendliest people and always keep a smile in their voice. Sometimes messages get lost when someone answers the phone and insists on taking the information instead of connecting me to the person I have been dealing with. The wait times can be down right insane and it can be difficult to entertain an infant/toddler and possibly preschool sister for 40 minutes in the exam room. I do believe they try their hardest but I sometimes avoid going there if my child is sick because I know it will swallow my entire morning or afternoon. At least a dozen other parents I know personally who also go to Parkside, including two doctors of different medical fields, always say they love it, it's the best. But oh god the waiting is excruciating.

he office at first seemed ok, I was told the visit was going to be less however a doctor came up to…read morethe front and told the clerk it was more money. I went to a back office where the nurse asked me questions took my temp and blood pressure etc all standard. she asked her questions, and I answered them, and I was friendly trying to make conversation however it was very cold conversation. after answering questions, she left then a Doctor Stephanie Weir came in and prescribed me one medication and when I asked for the doctor to look at inflammation on my shoulder she looked at it in a disgusted way and made me feel very uncomfortable as well as belittled and less then human to them. Stephanie Weir was terrible and rude and cold. This was just inflammation from where I do my prescribed testosterone injection, and I have had it before it took some prednisone to go away. This doctor was so unkind and cold that she did not even put on gloves and inspect it she just looked with disgust and poked my shoulder and tried to leave the room as I was speaking with her and then said just use ice and ibuprofen and then come back, of course to pay for another visit. well, I was shocked and i left also feeling that I had undergone emotional distress for how I was treated by a so-called medical professional. I will never return to this practice, and I asked to be refunded my 100 plus dollars and was refused and told we are just not for everyone. I was shocked at how I was treated. the worst doctor's office I have ever experience all i asked was my money back id go somewhere else, but they need that 100 dollars, I guess. I am now drafting documents to demand a refund plus funds for emotional distress amongst other issues, I will update here and in forums I post this too. thank you.
