Left a little bit more on top than I'd like for a "high and tight," but they took a straight razor to the sides and did it right. It's really inexpensive, too, only $11! I'm used to paying at least $18 where I live. I think Flat Top Fridays is going to do really well with the river rafting/tourism crowd that comes through Fayetteville. It has that old-school country atmosphere. They've really done a great job with the decorating and making the inside feel old-timey. The hipsters who frequent Fayetteville are going to eat it up! And hey, that's great because this is a great place to get a haircut. This will definitely be my new go-to whenever I'm in WV as opposed to the place I went for years in Oak Hill, primarily because these guys are light years faster and do the straight razor for high and tights. Doesn't hurt that they're basically across the street from Secret Sandwich Society and some of the other great Fayetteville eateries.

Logan gave me a great haircut and the service was excellent - he used a vacuum to remove the excess hair from my head, trimmed the eyebrows, straight razor for the neck, shoulder/neck power massager...the works! But I was getting tired of looking shaggy, and I wanted to get my beard trimmed, too. I went by another barbershop in Charleston, and it seemed like you had to make reservations. While there were at least a dozen chairs, there only seemed to be one barber on duty. I slipped out quietly, and went to the next closest place, Bully Trap. I walked in, and all of the chairs were full, and there were a couple of folks waiting their turn. After I sat down, I was greeted by the barber closest to the door, who casually asked me if I had put my name on the chalkboard. He then did it for me, and graciously gave directions to the closest ATM (Bully Trap doesn't accept cards). I was impressed that there was only one tv in the shop, and the sound was turned off. The art on the walls was regional and looked original. This was not Super Cuts! The music wasn't so loud that folks had to shout to be heard over it. I got my hair and beard cut by a barber named Ryan both times that I went there. Ryan asked a few questions the first time I was there, but picked up on the fact that I didn't want to talk too much. As luck would have it, Ryan cut my hair the second time I went too, and I felt much more comfortable talking to him. When I go again, I'm going to ask for Ryan, if possible. I like establishing relationships. And yes, Ryan did a great job cutting my hair and beard. The price was very reasonable, and since I've worked in the service industry myself, I gave Ryan a more than decent tip. (Yes, I would prefer if American businesses would pay a living wage and service workers didn't have to depend on tips, but until that day comes, I will generously tip.) Great haircuts at a decent price! I'm a bit of an introvert, and I don't always enjoy making small talk with strangers.
