In one case I flew…read morein on a larger Airbus aircraft, then had to change terminals as I flew back out on a small CRJ regional/commuter plane. A few days later I did the reverse. Do know that, if you have a layover here in Dallas that requires you to change gates it can take a while. While signage is clear and easy to follow, and I was walking at a fairly brisk pace, I had about 1 1/2 hours layover and arrived to my departing gate just as the plane was ready to board. This is due to the time it takes to get to the tram, ride the tram through a few stops and to the appropriate set of gates (which are quite spread apart) and then navigate to the gate areas - so even with that long of a layover, I wasn't able to browse the shops and didn't have time to dally. That said, there were plenty of food options in this airport, including a TGI Fridays in one terminal where they guarantee diners will be in and out in 30 minutes.

I hopped on a United flight in an attempt to leave earlier. That brought me out to terminal E. It was the usual layout for the older terminals at DFW. Definitely not as nice as terminal D. The hallways between gates were a bit too narrow especially when there were so many flight delays and cancellations. There were plenty of food options. During my wait for my flight, I got food to eat at Wendy's.

You can ride a tram over to other terminals, and then walk over to the Dart train if you can follow the random signs that point you down hallways and corridors that end in a dead end. They need to do a better job marking stuff. At least the bathrooms were clean.

From the restaurants and shopping to airport lounges to the tram that can get you around the airport easily and even a hotel right in the middle of it, this airport has a lot to offer. After all, one of the slogans of the DFW Airport is "Travel. Transformed." The clubs and lounges in DFW Airport are much better than usual and there are more of them than usual. I have two travel premium credit cards: the AAdvantage Executive Mastercard offering complimentary Admirals Club access (including the location near gates B3/B4) and the American Express Platinum card offering other lounge access (including lounges elsewhere in the airport in other terminals) along with travel credits along with complimentary CLEAR and Global Entry membership. There is also the USO Center in Terminal B near Gate B-47. One of the challenges with the airport is that there is always construction taking place throughout the airport. Right now, this has impacted the A and B gates, but certainly looks like it is on the back end at this point. Fortunately, the website (https://www.dfwairport.com) highlights these construction delays. On the website, you can also order a meal ahead of time and find a discount code for airport parking. You can also find security wait times, an airport shuttle tracker, parking availability, and interactive map, and a list of more than 200 shopping and dining options, many of which are located in Terminal B. For all of the airports I travel through, DFW is the only one I try to have a longer layover to take advantage of the airport, lounges, and travel experience.
