She underwent a procedure after the staff quickly and efficiently verified authorization. The procedure center is at a nice part of town, we felt safe, and the staff in the waiting room, pre op and post op room were very friendly and seemed very careful following through with their protocols. The second time which was more recent was for a sharp pain on my glutes area that took a bit longer to heal, but we got it healed. I had been dealing with the pain for over a year until i finally made the time to get it fixed. With adjustments and exercises we got it fixed in about 4 visits. The lady at the desk was completely rude not caring how far I drove just to get there. No one called to tell me I had this bill nor had I ever received a bill saying I owed this money. I again told her several times I could only pay and extra $30 and she still refused to let me see the Dr and would not take my money. I would have NEVER been treated this way by the office in Channelview where I normally go. The Channelview office was not able to see me because the dr is on maternity leave which is why I went all the way to Kingwood. I do not recommend anyone using this place. I have never been so disrespected. Since this occurred yesterday I have attempted to contact the billing office 4 different times and was on hold more than 10 minutes each time even though it said I was at position 1 in the que to talk to someone. I would hope people using this office attempt to go elsewhere for treatment so they are not treated as poorly and inconsiderate as I was. Even the other girls at the front desk did not try to step in and assist me nor did the lady I spoke to bother to talk to the Dr to see if something could be done. If you will check the reviews for this place you will see that others have also had this same experience. I hope that the Dr's see this review and do something about the way the patients are treated by the staff. If your patients owe money or are required to pay an additional amount then we should be notified before coming in so that arrangements can be made. I'm hoping no one else has to experience what I experienced at the hands of Dr. Chandler Mann and his assistant on that day. I must say that prior to this experience, I never had any negative interactions with him. I always felt comfortable and had the utmost respect for him because of the way he treated me. I had very few visits with Dr. Mann because I prefer to take the least amount of medications as possible and I tolerate pain well. The majority of my visits were required in order to have injections scheduled and administered in my back at the hospital. My last visit with him left me feeling disrespected and misjudged. He made assumptions about me that are clearly not a part of my character. I expressed me feeling distraught about his assumptions to his assistant (the girl that sits in the back office) who was cold and calculated. Her tone and body language spoke volumes and she was not willing to listen or hear what I had to say. I vowed to never return to his office or be treated by him. I'm a very patient, kind, compassionate woman of God. An educated, reputable, hard working mother of two amazing sons, one of whom is currently serving our country. There's nothing about me that deserved to be treated in the manner that I was treated by Dr. Mann, his assistant or anyone else. I deserve better!!!! EVERY patient should be provided quality care and treated with respect and dignity regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender assignment, and financial resources or lack there of. I have been back once but I scheduled my appointment to see the Nurse Practitioner who is an angel. I wanted and needed her to know about my experience as well as help me prepare for my back surgery and bid farewell. She has always been amazing and treats me the way I expect and deserve to be treated. I highly recommend her to treat everyone who needs to be treated by someone in this specialty. All of the other staff there with the exception of the girl that's stationed in the back are excellent. I rated 2 because I needed to give credit to my amazing Nurse Practitioner although she deserves 5 on her own. She called it into the wrong pharmacy and I wasn't able to make it to that location bc of my work schedule. Have been calling for 6 weeks to have it called back in to the correct pharmacy, now not having meds for three months. and she refuses to do it and stating that she has to see me for another appointment before she will call my RX in. This is money hungry and not a good look for a doctor to not call in an RX for a long time patient.
