That 80's Toy Shop has a really great mix of old and new collectibles , This grandma loved the back of the store that had some old fisher price , a great vintage Spirograph , a Donny and Marie doll case that opened up to a stage .and much more . My grandson loved the Ninja Turtle collectibles , some of the horror action figures and the big bins of loose wrestling figures , again just to name a few . Star Wars merch was abundant as well as the classic superhero selection. An enjoyable stop that included many childhood memories and favorites . That 80's Toy Shop is also interested in your old collectible figures and toys if you are looking to sell . Stop in and support this great small , local business !

Hobby lobby is a love hate relationship for me. I bought slime and wanted to return it. It was two…read moredays since I had gotten it. I went into the store w the receipt and slime and they said they couldn't find it in their system on their iPad. A manager-looking woman came over and said she would go back to the aisle and look. When she came back she said I couldn't return it because it wasn't a product in the store. At this point my blood was a simmer. I say "here's the receipt, here's the slime. It clearly looks like your product. Whether or not you have it come up isn't my problem" The manager looking lady doesn't care and reiterates that if they can't find it, I cannot return it. I decide to go back myself. Imagine the surprise when I go back and find it! This wasn't the first time I had a hassle w returns. They have an old system and they don't take electronic payments. it's just kind of wonky how they do everything at that store. Hence the love-hate relationship! I go shopping at the store sporadically, only because they do have nice things.

This place is...well, delightful! Prices seem high, but are more or less comparable to what you'd find online, and you also know what you're getting here. No surprise smells, iffy stitching, or insufficient stuffing. It's near Pulp 716 and Spiritually Rooted and a bunch of other shops, each filling a different niche. No wonder the area was hopping today. Not only is the Delightful Octopus is a great addition to downtown North Tonawanda, the general area seems a lot livelier since my last visit at least a couple years ago. I would like to say this as delectably as possible but the shop smells awful, the whole shop smells like urine and dog which I feel is very off putting for a shop that sell plush items that can lock in smells. Another thing I find off putting is the prices, the shop is priced very high and the owner will say that this is because they are a small business but most of their items are work stolen from other artist and clearly drop shipped. Another issue with this shop is the owners are very rude and I have witness them treat customers very harshly due to honest feedback. I do not recommend this shop in the slightest.

Even more so, they offer a section for bday parties, which I think is nice for crafters, but it really lacked the luster I would want if I was hosting a bday here, adult or especially child. I did like the selection of Halloween stuff. There's traditional black and orange, there's more girly and modern stuff, and there was a section for black and deep purples they were starting to put up. Another nice thing is they had plenty of registers, including self-checkout AND people working their own registers.

Sooo, I turned to "Siri" and asked where Michael's was & it was down,a little over a mile further . It was right past the Amherst Buffet parking lot (yes,that's what I refer to it as,lol), and in the plaza where Trader Joe's is. It's way in the back of Trader Joe's lot. Easy enough to see when you're driving down Niagara Falls Boulevard. The new location is more spacious, cleaner & it seemed like it had more products. I , of course wanted to but everything I saw, but we went there for 1 thing, which they didn't end up having. I ended up getting something anyways (hehehehe), & they were cheap, which is why Jim bought them for me. =D. (I always make him spend too much $$) So, it's a very nice store, large selection, neat & clean, Nice employees, but of course,crazy expensive! I do mean crazy EXPENSIVE for most things. I saw some new stuff today that I haven't seen yet, and I really loved, like the waffle makers. They were too cute. Not really a whole lot to say. If you've been in one GameStop, you've been in them all. The two employees were very nice. Matty got a good discount on his new controller for Nintendo Switch. Parking is not fun here . The place was empty today, so that was really good. We were taken care of right away and since there's never much room to walk around in to begin with, having no one there, made it a much better experience.

Always good people, they are a little pushy with their membership but I get what margins it makes, so no hate on them for that.
