It also means that there is always an interesting mix of people at the salon at any given time, lending it an intimate and friendly feel. A cut and blow dry is £23.80, which is just under the going rate for an established salon with a good reputation. Senior citizens pay £19.00, a price that offers them a considerable saving. The price for colouring is also really inexpensive. Highlights including a cut is only £46.50! This is really good value! One reason why Headquarters is so affordable is because they haven't put their prices up in four to five years. I haven't asked them why this is the case, but I guess that the recession has a lot to do with it.

Maria Robinson is one half of a husband and wife team that both run their own salon. Maria runs Intense Hair and Beauty and Carl runs Carl Cutters, both of which occupy the same commercial property. It's a sensible arrangement that keeps things simple, and although there is internal access to each of the businesses, customers enter through two different exterior doors. The shop front of Carl Cutters is actually on Adeline Street, whereas Intense Hair and Beauty faces out onto Carlisle Street. Maria is a really friendly, affable person that seems as though nothing could shock her, or upset her easy, well balanced approach to the world. It is not surprising then, that she has carved out such a successful living in this area. Offering really high standards of customer care, and really taking an interest in the locals, (she was born and bred in Splott herself), they understandably come here in their droves. As well as all of the usual hair dressing options, Taylor Made Cuts also offer a number of allied beauty care options. For instance, they provide an eye lash extensions treatment to supplement their eyelash and brow tinting options. The prices are good too, and are about 10% - 20% cheaper than the least expensive options that you'll find on the City Road, making a trip in this direction well worth your while. A full set of lashes will set you back £50, with infill's costing £25.00. Eyelash removals, (the detail that quite a few other technicians omit mentioning), cost £15.00. The therapist that performs the eyelash treatments, whilst being allied to the salon, is self employed and takes her own appointments.
