The wait time that it took for ordering your pizza . This was manly a problem, considering that we went near the lunch hour. Once we had ordered everything that we experienced was fine, the pizza came out perfect and very tasty! We also had gotten our drinks which were delicious if you enjoy a good soft drink Too bad that it's not a more open place to live, that you can get an ice cold beer with a pizza! That unfortunately is caused by the fact that the state liquor laws make it costly for establishments to accommodate their customers! I personally think that if children are allowed in the establishments, a soft drink is to be theirs, they will not be come alcoholics because their parents are enjoying a pizza with an ice cold beer! We had a great time except for the ordering aspect of our visit, being their limited location in the relatively new area of Riverdale, Utah. The design of this new assortment of varied eateries, allows everyone in the surrounding communities to enjoy the unique restaurant located within! For Mod pizza, like I've already mentioned, could not be any better due in part where it sits in the group of new restaurants. I only wish I had gotten pictures, so folks could see what I've been talking about!. I totally take the blame for that! Took my family here tonight and will not return. The restaurant was a total mess. We waited at the front for almost ten minutes before someone came to ask us what we wanted. I go no where else for this American classic. (Except MODs in Layton, that's a good one too!) The toppings are fresh and creative. The crust is thin, light, and crispy. My favorite part is this location gives the crust a little char from the awesome gas fire stove. So, so good. My husband and I ordered our food online and our pick up time was 8:35 pm. We came to get our food and saw it was pretty busy so they told us It'd be another 15 mins. We were like "Okay let's just go get a drink and it should be done when we get back!" It's currently 9:18 pm and our 2 small pizzas are just now going in the oven. This is ridiculous! 30-35 min wait order line with two people in front of me. This location how gone down. The speedy service use to be bad, but never this slow. The two people ahead ordered maybe 2-3 pizzas, no process of writing down order to complete faster, asking multiple times for the order. And then wiriting down after they have started And 2-3 mins wasting time making more dough after everywhere person cause only one person can make dough. How do I know this the mobile order worker waited 5 mins for dough to be pressed to complete his orders. They had multiple people come in for order and have to wait 5-10 mins because they were just being finished or not touched at all, and given a cake as a sorry. We come here almost every week for months now and have amazing experiences with the staff and the food quality. But today was a turn for the worst, as we walked in the door the day of 1/21/25 you could feel the tension from the staff immediately, this was no longer a welcoming place. Today it was more of a (why are you here, very hostile environment.) We love the pizza. But the last two times we went to two separate stores (Riverdale and Bountiful Utah) we ended up leaving without any pizza as nobody would wait on us. It was the weirdest thing. Many employees were coming in and out of the kitchen and visiting amongst themselves.. Both times were between lunch and dinner so it wasn't busy. In Riverdale I was the only customer, An employee finally came and got a crust tray down from the shelf and then took a big bucket into the kitchen and never really came back while 2-3 other employees were kind of coming in and out too. I ordered online 25 minutes ago and drove to the store arrived passed when it was supposed to be done walked up to their pick up counter the lady rudely greeted me "you have a pick up order?" Hands down... this is the number 1 Mod Pizza of the 7 plus locations I've visited... The folks working the place were friendly, quick and professional. This location was pretty busy while we were here a d what I noticed first off was the noise level was not loud and overbearing. Other locations are bigger and much noisier. I have tried to give the Riverdale Mod multiple chances, but unfortunately after tonight's experience I will not be going back. We arrived at 7:56 to pick up our online order of pizzas that were scheduled to be ready at 7:58. The pizzas had not even been started. They told us that it would be 15 minutes. There were tons of employees just standing around and there were only 2 other customers in the restaurant. My husband told them that he expected the meal to be free and all they did was give us 3 expired free pizza coupons. They did say sorry, but it didn't seam genuine. The other two people who hadn't ordered when we came in got their pizzas before us. All this and they still didn't make my husband's pizza right. This has happened time and time again. I would give this location zero stars. Had 7 employees but several were outside in the patio area smoking. Took 20 minutes to order with 3 people in front of us. We were getting salads and there was no more spinach on the line and the employee also told us they didn't have mushrooms. They indeed did have mushrooms the employee was just too lazy to go get them from the back. The pizza crusts keep getting smaller and thinner. And while baking they develop huge bubbles making for a horrible pizza. We have given multiple second and third chances and it just keeps getting worse every time. We won't be back and when we do want MOD again we will drive the 17 miles to Layton. The Layton store is always stocked, clean, and the employees there really care. Mod is my fave pizza on the planet. It's possible it's my favorite food. There isn't one where I live so I seek them out when I travel. Went to this one because it was close to hotel and a menu photo said beer. I feel betrayed by that photo but the pizza was perfect. Crust was crisp with no burns. There was a lot of huge chunks of garlic, and they didn't skimp on any of the toppings. The dough was really tasty. The second Pizza was a Philly Pizza with their ground beef on the thinner 11". There was maybe a few sprinkles of beef. Definitely not my favorite pizza from mod pizza. Overall though I enjoyed the pizza and how you can get what you want without having to pay extra. I had been craving this place since the first time I went and this time was kind of disappointing. The pizza was what I expected besides being very burnt on the bottom.
