I have been seeing MOD Pizza popping up all over Houston and the surrounding areas, so I stopped into this location when driving through town and am thoroughly impressed! I came during lunchtime, which is usually hectic for a lot of restaurants, but the customers were handled efficiently. It was very clean, the employees were nice and it was a cool idea to build your pizza/salad; everyone is satisfied, even with picky eaters! I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to order (everything looked good) so the employees were more than happy to help me choose. Everything came out perfect, and the crust was crunchy just like many of us like it. The cinnamon strips are KILLER! They were kind enough to give me all three dipping sauces since it was my first time. All in all, I would frequent this location and I really enjoyed the low key, family atmosphere and cute decor. I enjoy MOD come here often with my boyfriend. This location is so great.. most of the time. Last time I was here (about a week ago) I was insulted by a worker and told I had "bunny teeth" an insecurity of mine and truly unprofessional... Then said worker went on to insult me for the toppings I chose by saying "ew who puts bacon on their pizza?" why are you judging a paying customer for THEIR pizza? Then he said I looked like a GUY!! I AM A WOMAN!! Absolutely insane and unprofessional nobody ever offered to fix this or apologized. I won't be returning to this location because of this incident. The pizzas, as at all MOD locations, were fine -- there's the one star. The problem? The staff. None of them -- and I mean this literally -- none of them smiled, said "hello," or seemed as though they even wanted to be alive. That's a huge claim -- but it's true. Of the four females working, they were all just miserable. It totally and completely dampened the mood of our group. I was the last to order in our group, and as my party moved down the line, I stood in place to place my order. After uncomfortable silence and awkwardness, the girl finally asked me, "do YOU want a pizza?" Uh, yeah. That's literally why I'm here. Went there with two of my Sisters the other day as they have been there I this was my first time. Great service, clean place and I Loved the pizza. I will definitely be back and I don't do the regular pizza shops at all and would rather not eat if I'm eating at regular pizza places. I'll definitely be back. I've been to another location a few years ago and I couldn't tell you what I got but I remember it being really good! We got there at the perfect time because it was crowded as soon as we got our food. There was literally a line out the door. Everyone just got there at the same time. I love this place. They are called by many the "subway of Pizza" but subway is low quality and Mod Pizza is not. They have quality ingredients. I usually order online and get the Gluten free crust which is thin and crispy. I load up on topping and appreciate they use nitrate free meats. 1 pizza is usually enough to feed me twice so it's a good value. They have lots of drink options as well with beer on tap, wine, milk shakes, sodas, and specialty iced teas. The staff is always so friendly too. The pizza is done quickly and you make them make it. MOD pizza is a build it the way you like it pizza place. They have individual pizzas as well as some that are large enough to share. The older I get the less I seem to enjoy pizza so having MOD as an option to get a smaller pizza that isn't all dough is a very nice option. They have a wide range of pre-determined menu options. I ordered the Mad Dog which is more or less a meat lovers pizza. However, I quickly added spinach, basil, garlic, bacon, and gorgonzola. If you are not familiar with gorgonzola, it is a sharp blue cheese pizza. if you do not like blue cheese, I would avoid this on your pizza. I little goes a very long way. All four of us ordered mini's and three of us ordered drinks. The total cost was approximately $27.00 which I didn't think was too bad for what you got. I will say that having a pizza with a thin crust that is only 6" didn't fill me up but I need to cut back anyway so I made it work. Be warned that your cell service will not be good in the restaurant so you may have to put your phone down and have a conversation with the rest of your party **GASP**. Another assembly line pizza joint and it's taken up residency in League City! For those who lack imagination (or are too tired to think), they have pizza creations that you can choose from or you can build your own. I think my 2 favorite things about MOD are: 1) They have different sizes for different appetites. 2) The crust is super thin & crispy I opted the for the Calexico but left off the gorgonzola, as it's too overwhelming for a pizza IMO. It was so super tasty and since the crust is so thin, it's not super filling. You can also do a pizza salad so that you skip the carbs. A great addition to the area! read more

I came to this place when it first opened and swore I would never be back. It was overrun with children who do not understand the concept of not screaming at the top of your lungs while indoors. Fast forward a couple of years later and I had business to do in the same strip mall and needed something quick so I decided to give this place another try. It was around 6 pm or so and I was pleasantly surprised...mostly adults who acted as one does in a public place. I sat in my booth and read a book, happy to enjoy the silence. It didn't last. Within a half hour anyone who had ever decided to breed ever within a 5 mile radius decided to show up and it became louder than a heavy metal concert with screaming, wailing, and crying. 2nd and last time visiting this location. David the manager needs some customer service training and proper hygiene training. It's completely disappointing and unacceptable to have a manager and his employee joke with a pizza cutter that is being used to slice pizzas and touch David's hairy arms. How disgusting. I wish I was joking but I'm not. Secondly, David the manager took my sister's payment and then proceeded to not only cut pizzas and touch the paper of where my sister's pizza was going to be at and then go back and take more payment. Again, disgusting!! Lastly, the girl who actually cut my sisters pizza hand "accidentally" touched my sister's pizza. Who knows where her hands were previously. I've been to Blaze Pizza several times and love it!! Friday was my first encounter with the manager David and it left much to be desired. Clearly I'm not used to the proceeder with MOD's because it was my first time. At BLAZE, at the end you tell them if you want additional sauce on top after it comes out of the over. It wasn't stated otherwise, so I assumed since no one asked it was the same process. So I asked the guy to please add some pesto sauce and the manager David was next him... being rude and nonchalant. The food is good, but they have some service issues to workout. I assume this place is just having some kinks to work out with being a new restaurant and will end up being a great addition to the neighborhood. The food overall was very good. There's only one basic size of pizza served on a very thin crust (tortilla thin). With our family of five, everyone of us had blackened spots on our crust. It wasn't enough to bother me like some other reviewers. The large size is just a double layered pizza with the lower layer just getting cheese and sauce; this dilutes the ratio of toppings to pizza and I wouldn't recommend it. Next time if my teens are that hungry, I'll pay the few bucks extra to get them an extra pizza. If you're looking for a value pizza, the thin crust and light toppings (unless you add a lot of variety) doesn't satisfy large appetites. As far as service goes, this place still needs work. The employees didn't have an efficient assembly line working. They were skipping around on the pizzas being ordered versus handling one customer at a time. There was confusion on what orders took priority and with all of the confusion I ended up with a couple missing ingredients. There was one older worker who seemed to be adding to the chaos and was the only one who had a negative attitude. Hopefully this guy is a worker and not a manager or owner or just having an off night. Things would have been better if he took a less active roll. We are regular customers and today was the first really bad experience we have had. The food was delicious but the girl working the counter today at lunch clearly hates her customers. She was very rude and very hateful to me. The guys were all great. If not for them we would have walked out. We live nearby and visit here often. It is like subway, but for pizza. You choose your size and then pick your toppings and they cook it right there. I always get the mini size, but everyone else gets the MOD. Usually the staff is friendly, but sometimes seem bothered that we come in late around 10 after soccer games when they stay open til 11. My daughter loves their lemonade and they have some limited wine selections and craft beer for the adults. I love the feel of this place. Great thin crust pizza. My husband said it was comparable to the pizza he ate while living in Italy. He had the Bob pizza and loved it. His only complaint was it was a little burnt but not so much that it ruined the pizza. I had the Caspian I really liked it. I'm not sure how I feel about gorgonzola on pizza. I love gorgonzola but I felt it was a little strong. There wasn't a huge amount on the pizza so it wasn't overwhelming gorgonzola with each bite. I also wish the red onion had been chopped. There were four rings placed on the pizza and having a bite of the onion made the pizza taste that much better but because it was in ring form you weren't given onion throughout the entire pizza unless you cut it up yourself as I did. Aside from those small things which weren't a huge deal the pizza was amazing. I plan on trying their pizza again. They had a nice selection of specialty pizzas I want to give a try. The girl at the counter was very nice and opened.each box to make sure my order was correct. I ordered and paid online and was in and out in less than 5 minutes. When standing at the check out you can see the wood burning oven they use and see into the kitchen, it was similar to when you visit subway. Everything was very clean and if you dine in you can see them make and bake your pizza. We had the 11 inch pizza, my husband ate all.of his and a little of mine. Just to give some size specifications. It was cut into 4 pieces but could easily be made it and 8 slice pizza of small to Reg slices. Definitely would recommend and will be going back.
