I got a pepperoni pizza for a friend of mine, and I got the chicken pizza with spinach, cheese, and mushrooms for myself. It was absolutely delicious! The pizza is made fresh and baked right there in the oven, and you can really taste the difference. I even had a little pizza left over -- and that says a lot because it was so good! And let me tell you about their crushed ice! It is some of the most wonderful crushed ice you'll ever taste. If you try their pear tea, you're in for a treat too. It's great! They also have amazing salads and desserts, so there's something for everyone. But what really made me smile were the employees. They had smiles on their faces and genuinely acted like they wanted to be there and wanted to do a great job. That kind of attitude makes such a difference! The whole place was clean, tidy, welcoming, and happy, and the food was delicious. I was smiling from the time I walked in until the time I left. I'll definitely be coming back! Absolutely terrible experience at Pizza MOD. The way we were treated by the manager/staff was completely disrespectful and unnecessary. We've been going to Pizza MOD almost every Sunday for more than 10 years, and this was by far the worst experience we have ever had. We got cups of water and put the tiniest amount of the special lemonade they were serving in one just to taste it. While we were sitting at the table, a staff member came over and forced us we had to pay $7 for the drinks. We weren't filling up cups of soda or taking advantage of anything--we literally took a tiny amount to taste. Being charged $7 over that was ridiculous. I also asked for ranch and was given two. When I came back and politely asked for two more, I was told they were out. Then, shortly afterward, the same employee somehow pulled more ranch out of the refrigerator. If you're out, you're out--but don't tell customers you're out and then bring more out moments later. What made this experience even worse was the way we felt we were being treated compared with other customers., and based on the way this employee treated us, we genuinely felt that race may have played a role in how we were treated. I obviously cannot know what was going through his mind, but after coming here for more than 10 years, this was the most uncomfortable and upsetting interaction we have at pizza mod The entire interaction felt disrespectful and like we were being treated as if we were a problem just for asking for basic things. Customer service should not feel like you're being punished for coming into the restaurant. The pizza wasn't even the biggest issue--the attitude and treatment from the staff completely ruined the experience. I left feeling genuinely upset and disappointed. After being loyal customers for over a decade, this is absolutely not how we expected to be treated. I have been to MOD pizza in Seattle but I was happy to hear that we were getting one in Federal Way. I haven't had a chance to stop by until today as I joined their rewards program and you get a free No Name Cake so I figured this would be a good time as any to try them out. There is plenty of parking and they have seating both inside and outside. The interior here is lovely and perfect for all occasions! The staff here were very friendly and ensured that my experience was positive. They had my order ready and the No Name Cake was delicious! If there was an option for negative stars they would receive a hundred negative stars. The workers were terrible and slow and not helpful at all. They made me wait for fifteen minute before even ordering the pizzas. Their employees were terrible were horrific service, barely adding any toppings and not apologetic what so ever. Honestly, the food is good as was expected. Nothing special just a run of the Mill chain restaurant, but there is something to be said about consistency and they definitely are consistent. Order was quick and on point! I appreciate the worker that made sure the toppings were spread out evenly throughout the pizza and took his time. That is someone that knows how to make a pizza and does it well. The pizza was nicely done. My boyfriend gets the gluten free crust due to allergies and notices that sometimes his is burnt probably because the gluten free pizza dough is frozen and takes longer to defrost. This time and location, it was nicely cooked! Mine as well. The cashier though looked like he was mad at the world and hates his life, but still did his job in checking us out. Quality food and love the options. Tonight customer service was completely off and by the manager at that. Only two people in the store and I was the second person. Lots of staff but I was completely rushed by the manager as she made my salad and pizza. I wound up forgetting an item or two actually. So the rest of the staff was good at customer service. Especially Lexi who once I was sitting in my car waiting for my pizza and explained to her the situation she brought me the forgotten bacon for my salad and offered me a free pizza coupon card. I did appreciate her. It's just to bad the customer service and lack of smiles and welcoming feeling came from the manager who is supposed to lead by example. Pretty sad. Do not recommend this location, service is horrible. 1. I normally order at a puyallup location and their service is amazing, so I was expecting the same from here. I order some food here on the mobile app and the only option it give you is "order pickup" (see attached photo below) and I get here 10-15 minutes later see the curbside order, so I call the number as instructed and they told me I had to come in the store. Like what's the point of having a curbside if you have to come in the car. Especially during times like this, I don't wanna be walking into a huge restaurant with 20-30+ people, little kids running my around and such. 2. The whole point of ordering through a app is to slow down the wait time, but 15 minutes after placing the order, I have to wait another 30 minutes. Sitting down at a table that is sticker than tape. Really gone down-hill. Service is remarkably slow even when there isn't a long line. They'll ask for your order, and even when you speak loudly and clearly they get it wrong. The food is what you'd expect from a Mod Pizza. What an amazing atmosphere this place is. I want to give a big shout out to Sydney (Like Australia) for being an amazing person. She made our meal more delicious then possible. I have tried 3 different MOD pizza location and this is by far my favorite place and what makes it really cool I literally live down the road so I will be back. Our meal consists of build your own pizza and a glass of yummy Manny's beer $4.97 for the beer price is not bad and pizzas and salads range from $5-$9. This location was clean and fun. I used to love coming here, but I won't be back. Just terribly slow. And I mean SLOW. It was like the person making the pizza was trained to move slowly. Couldn't believe anyone could be that slow. Very nice and courteous, but wow. There were 5 people in front of us and it took at least 40 minutes to ORDER our pizza. In the meantime there were two other people behind the counter with nothing to do because the pizzas cook faster than the time it takes to make one. I'm not fan of paper thin crust pizza. I like my pizza crust thick doughy, stringing, cheesey and lots of toppings, that when you take a bite of your pizza, the cheese is hanging on... this pizza was like eating fried tortilla with some toppings. I suggest not to go there if you are really hungry because thier pizza are smaller then what you see. I didn't like the dark sweet sause that was spread over the pizza, make sure that you say yes or no when they ask you about the sauce.
