Refuge I want to start by saying that I really do love this…read morecoffee shop and I recommend all coffee lovers to try this place out. They have the best espresso in Branch County and I won't get my coffee fix from anywhere else. The shop is cozy and clean. Most of the staff seem to know their stuff and they've all been very professional and friendly. It's one of the most welcoming coffee shops I've ever been to, for sure. They sell Yoder's cinnamon rolls and they're sooooo good! 10/10 highly recommend. If my review was based solely off of what I've said so far, I'd give them 5 stars across the board. Unfortunately tho, I tried their breakfast this morning and wish I hadn't. I don't think anyone should pay $8.50 for the bagel sandwich I received this morning and hopefully these photos will help prevent others from feeling as disappointed as I do. My "everything" bagel had barely "anything" on it, meaning it was extremely hard to tell it was an everything bagel, it looked and tasted more like a plain bagel with a very thin layer of cream cheese on it. I know no one asked for my 2 cents and I don't want this to come off as if I know their business better than they do, because I don't, but if I were to be asked to give them a POSSIBLE solution to prevent this from happening in the future, I would suggest posting their food menu on a blackboard, with prices clearly written out, and where it's easy to read. The drink menu would be a perfect example of this if the prices were listed. A bonus would be if you had the menus & prices on your website as well so it's easy to find! I work in Coldwater and we order from you quite a bit and one thing we've all mentioned is wishing we could see a full menu so we know beforehand how much our orders are gonna cost and I know some of my coworkers have wanted to order food and didn't because they didn't see any prices listed. On a positive note, I absolutely love: -the hand written messages on every single cup. -the miniature Jesus keychains you sell. (My coworker talks about the ones she got from you quite often.) -how clean the entire shop is. -the sign above your bathroom sink. -you put a photo on your website that shows exactly what a drink is made up of, so people can actually see what the difference is between a latte and a cappuccino, etc.

The bar was U shaped and the waitress took my order from within the U. I ordered a coffee while I looked the menu over. Within a minute or two my coffee was placed in front of me and I was asked if I needed more time. Nope. I ordered two eggs over easy, 3 slices of bacon and two slices of wheat toast. Ten minutes later my food was sat down in front of me. It looked and tasted really good! The eggs were cooked to order. The bacon was a little crispy. Just the way I like it. Not soft and greasy. Toast with butter was how it should be. I was in and out within 20 minutes. The price was $11.27 total, plus tip. Not bad at all. I would recommend this place for a nice well priced meal. It also looked clean.

This time I ordered simple, veggie omelette comes with American fries and either toast or pancakes. I got pancakes, they were pretty tasty some sort of vanilla in the batter but they were dry. The omelette, was one of the worst things I've ever eaten. Not only was it dark in color, the eggs tasted like fridge and all the veggies inside it were old. I'm Just over it, bus lady was sweet though.

I've been to several Bob Evans locations across the nation and was pleasantly surprised by my visit. I experienced friendly service in a comfortable dining room with clean tables and not too much noise from other diners. Like every Bob Evans location, I love the combination of low prices and abundance of choice available. Here's my thoughts on the different items I tried: Chicken fried steak - Super creamy sauce on nice tender pork with a light breading that doesn't distract from the flavor. Rolls - Super fluffy and full of butter Garden salad - Was nice and fresh though I wish the lettuce as a little more crisp. The croutons were very crunch and I liked how the honey mustard dressing was not too sweet. Green beans - A bit on the soft side, not a huge fan Mashed potatoes - The consistency was a bit gritty for me but it had just the right amount of butter and pepper. Fried chicken - Super crispy and marinated with the right amount of saltiness with a good flavor of buttermilk Hash browns - Cooked nice and meaty with a good crisp Mac and cheese - Tender noodles though the sauce was a bit thin for me Banana bread - Slightly chewy with a strong butter flavor, good amount of nuts Reese's cookie - Large soft cookie with nice aromatic peanut butter infused in the dough and in the candy bit. Overall, the food was served at a fairly good temperature with good prices and large portions. The flavors and textures were a bit better than some other Bob Evans locations I've been to and the service was friendly.
