A few days before leaving for a couple week camping trip towing our fifth wheel my son gets a new power chair requiring us to come up with a safe way to transport it. I decided to mount a hitch on the front of my truck thinking of mounting an electric lift on it. Driving around getting items for our vacation I called a few companies about lifts and they weren't able to help with my "unique mounting application" then I stopped at Mobility Express Largo on Thursday. Paul Bankovich greeted me and listened to my needs and was happy to take on the challenge of finding a lift to work. Paul called some manufacturers who said no to the application then he contacted Harmar lifts. Harmar said absolutely we can do this and transferred Paul to an engineer to find out the best lift to handle the weight of his power chair and handle the added abuse a front mounted lift would take. The next morning on his way to the Largo store Paul picked up our new Harmar AL500HD direct from the manufacturer and had it ready for us to pick up. Now it's Friday morning and we pick up the lift, install it on our truck, and are on the road by 2pm after getting g the kids from school.
