They did sell us a good product but not without a good amount of convincing required since we were planning to shop around a bit. But having used Virgin services in Europe and the overall brand value, we did go for it. Virgin uses Bell network in Canada, so the quality of service is as good. Seems they blamed the retailer for a manufacturer problem, which I don't think is fair. Stephanie and the other folks at Plyto are all great! I went there to get a cover and glass for my Note 5. They have a huge selection of cases and covers for pretty much any phone you can imagine. They installed both perfectly, and my phone is protected. Upon hearing that we were going to the USA for holiday, Steph mentioned Ultra Mobile, which is an American company that does sim cards with unlimited use--available for sale at Plyto. We did a bit of research and it looked great--unlimited talk to any American number, UNLIMITED LONG DISTANCE BACK TO CANADA, and unlimited data: the only catch was that the amount of data you got at 4G speeds was limited, depending on the price you pay. Also, your phone needs to be unlocked. We opted for the price level that gave us 1GB of data at full speed, knowing that we would not hit that level while we were in America. Since we were there for 11 days, this was a better price than just paying your Canadian carrier $5-$8 a day, especially when you only get 50MB per day that way... Ultra Mobile is the cheapest provider of all the companies in America that do this, and they use the T-Mobile network, so you know you'll get service. She unlocked my wife's phone pretty much immediately, and then got us the sim card. She gave us instructions on how to activate the card, and who to contact if we had any issues while we were in the United States. Best of all, she gave us our American telephone number in advance, which was ours to use for the duration of the trip. In fact, if we so chose, we could keep that number and have it permanently for when we travel... given that the lowest price option is $19 USD a month, it's almost worth it... but this time, we just let it expire at the end of the month. Even though she prepared us just in case there was any trouble, when we landed in the U.S. we just swapped sim cards, restarted the phone, and we were all set! No difficulties whatsoever with her Galaxy S6 Edge. When I got to the States I discovered that the card is not working at all. I cannot call out or use the Internet. I'm very sure it's not the phone's problem because I put another SIM card to the phone and it worked perfectly. I went back to this store when I'm back to Toronto to find out what the problem might be. The sales person Stephanie asked me to leave the phone so she can do a few tests. So we did and when I came back, she said to me the card is working but because we are in toronro so we can't call out using this SIM card. She also showed me that it says emergency calls only on the phone. I told her that it's the same problem I saw when I was in the States. It was not able to make any outgoing calls at all! She started to say how I didn't install the SIM card properly and that there are problems with my phone. She was very very rude . I was really offended and demanded a refund. But she was furious and kept saying this is an Asian Mall, and you cannot expect a refund. She also added that please get out of my store. I was very offended and felt threaten by her. I tried to stay calm and my husband told me I should just let it go. So I was about the leave the store but she called the security!!! I was furious when the security showed up. She said "you guys wouldn't leave my store so I had to call security". She also told the Security that she feels threaten. I tried calling the police but of course this is not something the police will handle . In the end we left the store with great disappointment. The security guard even told us that he totally felt our situation and he agreed is not the kind of customer service we deserve. This store is unprofessional, extremely poor customer service and extremely short sighted. I'm mad not because I cannot get my $30 refund but at the unpleasant experience I have at the store. I signed up for Telus TV, home phone and Internet; Its been the most horiffying experience of my…read morelife. Wonderful as the telephone sales man described it to me. Then the trouble started; The Optik TV was slow to load the offered program. Taking a long time to load future listings. They cancelled my home phone and promised to give it back within ten days; Didn't happen. I'm still getting calls on the Temporary number.After 15 days I'd had enough and starting to cancel as I was allowed to do within 30 days. Resistance at every turn; putting me on hold for (usually for min.) forewarned; I harrased berated and abused agents mercilessly. until 2 weeks later an escalation person gave me telephone number of John who stopped the service within 1 Min. He promised to send return documents; by the time I got off of the phone He had hung up and the service was stopped. Telus cut the coaxial cable so a technichan had come to repair that .Telephone help; was a joke; Hours and of hours listening over and again to the same Music that you,ve heard in elevators or waiting rooms. Telecom companies in Canada are a horror show and they all apply the same tactics. Check on review sites and see for your self. I was warned before hand about them.Telus have a F minus rating with the B.B.B. Rogers/Show is only a bit better.
