None of the methods for opting out (like DMAchoice.com) work and apparently this is because businesses refuse to comply (refuse to remove customers from their mailing lists -- another thing that should be illegal) and the post office refuses to enforce things (see here: https://zerojunkmail.org/every-door-direct-mail-eddm/#:~:text=www.optoutprescreen.com%20and%20choose,the%20credit%20bureaus%20listed%20below.) Imagine how much paper waste could be saved if people across the US could all stop receiving these mailings that probably literally not one person, ever, has enjoyed receiving. It's junk mail/SPAM, and no one wants to receive junk mail.
