He even applied a conditioner to the untreated leather cover for the head and explained about its care to keep the leather in the best condition even when it needs to be used out in the weather. I got the call to pick up my knives on Friday. Saturday they're closed but I got there early Sunday morning. Perfect!! The bill came out to $130 and it was actually ok for me. He was located in Kailua (perfect since I live in Kaneohe) with super reasonable prices, so I kicked my butt into gear and contacted him. When I tell you this man brought these things back to pristine condition, I mean he brought them back to PRISTINE condition. He took almost all the rust off, they had some really deep rust so he couldn't get 100% off, but he came darn close. Check out the before and after photos!! He said his specialty is cutlery and kitchen knives, so after seeing the results on my garden tools, I'm excited to bring him back some kitchenware so we can really get slicing and dicing.
