Boy was I taken today. Trust in humanity? It's such a long story but here goes…read more I had my RV towed into this place for a wheel bearing issue. Was waiting for parts and a bill of $1500. Not the issue ... while waiting for parts wind blew a tree onto the RV. They sent me an estimate for $6677. We were lucky enough to spend the 3weeks with friends while it was being fixed. We went in today to talk about the roof repair. Bonny, the person so nicely helped us with the wheel repair was worst ever. Wouldn't address us at the desk. We had a time set at 11-11:30 and it was 11:20 so I adddessed her. She was so angry I as just taken aback. I had talked with the owners wife the day before. She said she had just had an accident and couldn't talk. I simply asked if I could talk with her insurance- like she had supposedly done with the other driver. She gave a number which I never found a person to help me. Our camper was taken outside their lot - to encourage me to just take it and leave. I simply wanted to talk about a fair resolution to the costs issue. They had parked it under some tree or limbs which were dead. If they had left it where we dropped it off there would not have been an issue at all. Everyone in the shop left for lunch from 12-1. Coincidence? I'm wondering now if whole thing - timing, accident, distracting anger, telling me to leave, pretending to call police... was all an act so they wouldn't have a claim and pay larger premiums. As well as finding a compromise with me. ??? So now I did take our unit to have it fixed by someone I know who will do a good job. I wasn't sure I could leave our RV with shop in question. So I will be out for getting a new roof when there was no need when I left with this shop. I paid the rest of the original $1500 bill and left. So just do you know something about this business. Have them cut their trees before you leave it there.

We were passing thru town with just 1 day to try to get our dometic fridge working. Dennis called…read moreback but couldn't fit us in that day. So he took me thru a verbal list of things to check. We were able to find the problem was a bad thermal fuse and verified that bypassing the fuse permitted the fridge to run. I called Dennis again. He didn't have the replacement part but told me where else to check. He also gave me some great advice about how to safely proceed until we could get that part replaced. He was very generous with his time and knowledge knowing he wouldn't get a dime from us. Wow.

Ron and his team worked closely with us to get all the parts ordered and his shop ready so we woud only be out of our rig as short of time as possible. He worked closely with our insurance and even went to bat for us regarding some of the items insurance didn't want to pay for. The end result - a perfectly matched body repair, realignment of our door and quality paint/clear coat that blends right into the existing paint. We found he was very willing to work with us on a schedule that minimized our time out-of-rig and gave him time to get the quality job we wanted. The place we were staying told us about Ben and Golden Eagle and we planned to give him a call when we saw him at the RV PARK. He was the the nicest guy, super helpful, didn't even charge us to look at our trailer the initial time since he was already there and it only took a couple minutes! WOW!! Talk about scoring points or stars in this case! He was able to order parts and we just had to wait Ben kept us informed the entire time about the order going the back-order when the parts arrived. Then Ben worked around our schedule he was very professional and kept a very clean work area even in the middle of Thunder storms. We would highly recommend Golden Eagle.
