I went in 3 weeks ago because I had an extremely sore throat and couldn't speak. Had to call off…read morework and went here to get a note for my manager. My entire visit took about 5 minutes. The female nurse that saw me basically shined a flashlight down my throat and told me I had some sort of viral infection and gave me Amoxicillin. Finished my entire course and eventually my body broke out in extreme rashes and hives. Went back here again and this time a male nurse saw me-- super rude, impatient, and seemed to be in a rush to get off work as he was at the front desk chatting with the receptionists and complaining about his job. My visit was also somewhere around the 5 minute mark. He immediately gave me Prednisone and sent me off. Prednisone didn't do anything. Went to AFC Urgent Care in Chino Hills instead and they asked me if I had been examined properly and had any tests/labs been done and I said no. They suspected I had mononucleosis and that prescribing me Amoxicillin causes the type of rash I am experiencing. Basically all of my struggles with this skin reaction could have been avoided had the nurse that originally saw me for my 'sore throat' properly examined me. TLDR; the front desk receptionists are kind and patient in my experience. There is a lady doctor that works here that is also very kind and patient. All the other NPs they have treating urgent care patients are rude and unprofessional and always in a rush to get you in and out as quickly as possible.

On June 7th, I brought a friend who was visiting from Washington to get IV therapy with me. We were offered a private room, and the staff was attentive at the start of our visit. However, after our second IV bags were connected, neither of us was checked on again. Both my friend and I fell asleep during treatment. I eventually woke up because I needed to use the restroom and pressed the call button multiple times before someone responded. When the nurse came in, she noticed my IV bag was empty and so was my friends . Once the lights were turned on, I could see a significant amount of blood had backflowed into the tubing approximately 12 inches from my arm. When the IV was disconnected, blood also got onto the pillow beneath my arm. I was told this was "normal" and the situation was laughed off, which left me feeling uneasy. After speaking with a nurse friend, I learned that while the blood backflow itself is generally not harmful, it can happen when an IV bag is allowed to run dry and isn't disconnected promptly. What concerns me most is not the blood in the tubing, but that neither of us was checked on after the second bag was hung. Had I not repeatedly pressed the call button, I'm not sure how much longer we would have been left unattended. I've always had wonderful experiences here, which is why this stood out so much. My hope is that this feedback helps improve monitoring, especially for guests placed in private rooms. A simple check-in and a more professional response would have gone a long way.

I can't say enough about my amazing experience with Patrick. I was feeling totally drained and in need of a serious boost, and the idea of leaving my house just sounded exhausting. Not only was the IV administered painlessly, but Patrick also stayed for the entire session, chatting with me and answering my random questions. She called me back at 7:00 am and was administering my IV by 9 am. I would never get an appointment that fast or get an IV in the ER. It was fantastic! The convenience of having the IV administered at home and not waiting 5-8 hours in an hospital ER, was a game-changer. Being able to stay in my comfy jammies while receiving treatment made the process feel incredibly cozy and stress-free. I didn't have to worry about getting dressed and heading out, which was a huge relief given how unwell I was feeling. I also didn't want my husband to sit in the ER waiting room and bring home another bug. Laryssa (RN) was incredibly professional, safe, warm and welcoming. It was like having a friend come take care of you! She took the time to explain the entire process, answer all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. As we talked about my symptoms she recalled me mentioning I had one of the medications in pill form and because I wasn't thinking straight (dehydration does that), she reminded me that I I didn't need to add that to my IV. That's how honest she is, she could have sold me more, but she is truly kind and made sure I was making the best choice for my situation. Her gentle approach really eased my anxiety, and before I knew it, the IV was in, and I was on my way to feeling better. I could immediately feel the benefits of the hydration and nutrients, and it was a wonderful boost during a challenging time. I truly appreciated being able to relax in my own space while receiving the care I needed so quickly.
