This trip to the flea market was like visiting an old friend. Things worked a little differently than the last time I was here. This time you have to pay to park. I would come here years ago when I lived in Mobile, we would come almost every weekend. We especially enjoyed the roasted corn on the cob. My son and I was so excited to visit here on Saturday 8/30. As always there were a lot of enteresting things all around. I was disappointed that the corn stand was closed due to a death in the family. My condolences to their family and I hope to catch them again the next time I'm in town. There's everything here from phone cases to living room furniture. Great flea market. Most vendors were very friendly without being overbearing or pushy. The guys at the key shop were especially nice. I shared some great conversations with them while my key fob was being made for my car. The only reason why I give this a four instead of five star rating is because it made me very sad to see the puppies in the cages that were for sale. If I could I would have bought them all just so they could run free. Maybe they should consider creating a large play area where the dogs can run around and / or sleep. Just a thought. read more

As flea markets go, this is a pretty nice one. Located close to the Mobile airport, it has a great selection of vendors and stalls and the vendors are generally willing to deal. There is a large used book shop, pets, plants, cell phone cases, etc. Typical flea market food is available at good prices. Lots of free parking. Worth a look if you are a bargain shopper! It was not the Flea Market I remembered from my childhood. The food looked and smelled great. There were a few good booths but a lot were just junk. I would recommend going for the corn and lemonade. If you like garage sales it may be your speed. read more

Sadly, this is the worst Flea Market I have been to. Not because there isn't much anything to buy, and true, maybe a few you can find useful, I'm sure. But what upsets me the most about the market, they sell breed dogs. They also sell hens, hogs, birds such as pigeons, etc. They all were cramped in small cages. I couldn't believe what I saw, it should be illegal. As for the sale of dogs, what happened, my sister and I were walking as when it was just opening, saw a stand where a woman was selling dogs. She did not see us approaching. The lil pup was barking like crazy, she smacked him hard on his nose and yelled at him to shut up. Of course, we got real upset, my sister went to the stand and questioned her. The woman had the attitude as like she didn't give a damn. I was this close of jumping over the counter and do the same to her! Seriously, they need to ban the sale of dogs, who knows how these dogs are handled. The same with hens, hogs, chickens, birds, and many more. Shame on you, Flea Market Mobile.. SHAME on you. read more

I isn't buy anything here because the stuff seemed a little sketchy. I can't say all the vendors have iffy stuff, but my friend bought an iPhone 5 case and it didn't work because one of the pieces wouldn't fit right. A perfume stand there was sketchy..my daughter smelled a perfume she currently owns an it didn't even smell right.. Beware the perfume and phone cases. If you do want something that's satisfying here, go for the food! The produce looks wonderful and they sell boiled peanuts and corn on the cob that rocked my world!! read more

Very disappointed in this market haven't been in a while and now they are charging a dollar a person what a rip off. Place is dirty nasty nothing but junk dealer with junk piled up like hoarding people old broken down tables booths are trashed out don't waist going. They really need to go around and make their dealer clean up there spaces we just walked by and looked did not go in booths afraid I would fall or something would fall on me. This place was 80% empty they could put what ever vendors they got in 1or 2 of there 4 buildings. Of the venders they got 80% is new flea stuff. Some booths are piled up to the roof and no way to see anything it's more like a storage shed for a lot there venders. Sooooo I understand that you can't control your vendors but the trashy ones you can ask them to move or clean up there space it really looks bad for your customers. And this DOLLAR A PERSON SUCKS MAYBE A DOLLAR A CAR LOAD. TAKE THAT MONEY AND CLEAN AND PAINT THE PLACE. Great for the kids. They get a chance to buy some stuff they wouldn't be able to afford otherwise. It's very hot during the summer time (ALABAMA) maybe big ass fans or misters would help fight the heat and keep people shopping. But I like the atmosphere people are nice. read more

I enjoy walking through the flea market great place to kill a little time and buy some junk :-) I mean where else can you buy a knock off phone case and a mini pig!?! Seems like most of the booths have the same stuff but if your a wheeler and dealer you can save a few bucks on that fake otter box as there all peddling the same wears. You can get some really good boiled peanuts but my self I would rather grab an ear of roasted corn and walk trough all the rows of stuff. The only thing I don't care for bout this place is the backyard breeders selling puppy's other than that pretty good way to spend a Saturday afternoon!! read more

Flea market set up itself is very nice. There are many vendors with different specialty's. I love the woodworking, the crafts and some of the vintage stands. There is an old record shop with lots of classical music. The corn on the cob is fabulous. Seeing the animals being sold up there and the conditions for some is sad. The staff try to keep the walkways as clean as possible. There should be no smoking permitted in the walkways, it is not pleasant having cigarette smoke in your face or your children's. read more

IF I lived here I would boycott this place every weekend. On the west coast we care more for our animals then these asses out here selling animals do. I beg of anyone looking for a pet please go to the shelter. I just witnessed chickens in cages to small to turn around, puppies with distemper, wrong breeds on a lot of puppies. Not to mention it is cold. I called the SPCA and this is private property... I will be fighting this flea market as much as possible from Las Vegas!!! If you're looking for something, chances are you'll find it here. Some booths are messier than a bachelor bad forcing you to dig, but you can always find really good deals and most vendors will negotiate with you. They have fresh produce, pets, farm animals, jewelry, and everything else under the sun. Pick your day wisely though because the place will pack out and you can barely walk much less enjoy it!!! So many smokers smoking made my first visit here highly unpleasant. I went to a seller of "imported goods" and their price was set in stone-non-negotiable...another turn off. Only a few sellers will speak to you. The sellers of the dogs were too busy in conversation to get money, which is what I think one would be at the flea market to do as a vendor. So many goods were over priced. Many were higher priced dollar store items. I really was not impressed. read more

My family and I have been coming here off and on for over 20 years. The collection of vendors has always been evolving, but now its more of a cheap new Chinese merchandise and back yard animal breeders rather than the antique/used goods market of the past. Ehhhhhhhh, not a fan of packaged products at a flea market, the entire point used to be people parking and selling out of their truck or trunk.(which is a small section in the very back). We recently went to this flea market on 7/1/2017,this is our third time coming back. We leave about 3 hours away,we really like visiting out there. They have some good prices on a lot of their merchandise. Some of the vendors are very nice and polite. Others don't speak unless you are buying something from them. Open Saturdays and Sundays 9-5. Has a food place but most people get corn on a stick. They sell fruit, plants, clothes, hats, purses, luggage, records, pictures, cell phone accessories, ribbons and crafts, has airbrushing for t-shirts, jewelry, etc. Covered and has fans with mist overhead. Its usually not too hot. Get lunch somewhere and pike through flea market for a nice afternoon. Vendors pack up early so dont wait until last half hour. read more

The prices are too high for a flea market, and it cost way too much to set up. Lots of retail new stuff, very little garage sale stuff (because it cost so much to sell there for the average joe) They need to offer outside spaces to the general public at a much lower prices. Also the permanent outside vendors have got a junk yard look and need to clean up their spaces. Whoever runs the place only cares about the money, and they make tons of money at 25 and 35 dollars a space. Somebody please start a flea market in town at lower rates. My husband goes there periodically for the comics. The owner of flea market comics is a really nice guy, He is fun to talk to and gives my hubby good deals. While he shops for comics, which is his only reason for driving four hours to get there, I walk around with my kids and look. It is a virtual petting zoo. Puppies of all breeds, guinea pigs, bunnies, chickens, even snakes are there in abundance. Very fun! I am a collector and have found Fiestaware, McCoy pottery, and Occupied Japan items there. I also always buy some produce because its fresh and they have much better prices than any grocery store and a huge selection, too. We even went through a fascination with Dark Shadows not too long ago, and the bookshop lady there found us about 20 of the old novellas for dirt cheap! We had seen these same books on ebay for ridiculous prices. She practically gave them away. There are some questionable characters there, but what do you expect, it's a flea market!
