On yelp I found mobile antique mall and found some great blue glass goblets. As was leaving spotted this place. Only about half the items in the store are actually antiques but interesting curiosities throughout. They are currently changing displays so it was pretty chaotic and unorganized and the entrance was mostly blocked. I found some great treasures but your really have to hunt and scavage. For example a beautiful refinished dining table was hidden under boxes. All the awesome furniture overwhelmed half of the space and my sweet husband who is 250 pounds could not get through some of the areas to look at little nooks with me. But the other half of the space is consignment area is very orderly. Don't be deceived by the choas at threshold part of store looks like an actual store. The items we bought were in ok condition and one of a kind. It's always a good sign when locals are stopping in to visit and everyone is welcoming and kind. I wish the front door was not blocked by holiday decor and the hubs could move around more but again I think we came on a bad day. My biggest complaint, aside from the clutter is the prices. Like most consignment stores the tags are removed to ensure that booth renters get paid. However, we did not get an itemized receipt and the prices ended up being drastically different than what we expected. I followed up with store who said my recollection was wrong & that used scratched plastic measuring spoons where actually over $6 bucks not the $3 bucks I thought they were marked. The broken reproduction watch was not $6 bucks but $10.50. For the prices we paid for used products this place it should be a nicer shopping experience instead the organization of half of the store was more like a hoarders garage than storefront. I discovered this store and her beautiful decor on Instagram and interacted through the comments and discovered I live across the bay not far from them. I was elated to know. Furniture of this caliber was in our community. Not to throw shade on any of the other local companies. But to be able to know my taste and others with similar taste have the opportunity to walk into a store and purchase such beautiful tasteful furniture and accessories is just delightful. They post regularly via their Facebook page with many ongoing booth updates and all booths are refreshed monthly, usually the first of the month. People get super-excited about the booth resets that are filled with seasonal upcycled and original decor. This is a female-owned business! So, like a hawk, I have been looking for a 1950s stepback hutch for years and was delighted to find one that she had posted (within 24 hours) was still available. If you call they will honor a 24-hour hold to allow you to inspect in person and buy the item or you may buy over the phone. If the item is over $100 their policy allows Layaway for 30 days with 50% down and 50% in 30 days, with no refunds or exchanges. Items are sold as-is and you must have an ID when picking up your item. I saw. I called. 10 people inquired behind me. Upon inspection the next day, I found the hutch was *exactly* what I was looking for and the price was competitive compared to online offerings and other area shops. The shop owner didn't have any references for movers, so I contacted movers I've used many times over the past two years to schedule a moving day within my window. This was a somewhat pricey move, so if you're without a personal truck and people to help move figure that cost into the price before buying. I knew I wanted this piece and had a place for it, so it wasn't a consideration before buying. When I had a date for the move, I called so they could expect me and received pickup instructions. I finished paying for the piece the day before the move, and couldn't have been more delighted with the whole buying, layaway, and moving process. I recommend using covered moving and/or wrapping furniture whether you are self-moving or hiring a company. Highway 43 can be busy with commercial traffic. If your move gets delayed beyond the 30-day window, they do assess storage fees by the day at that time. Super cute shop, with a friendly owner who will work with you, and I'm keeping my eyes peeled for new seasonal treasures featured via their Facebook page that has a 4.8/5 Facebook review rating and 15,000 followers.
