Having gone to some of the best salons in NYC, I can say this place is far from professional -- it's mediocre at best and lacks quality. To make things worse, the stylist next to me was extremely rude. While blow-drying his client's hair, he blew all the cut hair right onto me (disgusting!), and even pushed my stylist aside at one point -- causing her to stumble into me. Completely unacceptable behavior. This salon may look high-end with all the branded products on display, but it operates more like a noisy barber shop. I won't be coming back -- the atmosphere is toxic, and it's impossible to relax or feel pampered here. My haircut is ruined, the frizz wasn't treated, and the color has been botched -- it's taken all the vibrance out of my hair. I now look like I have a boring hair.

Just enough sparkle to draw the eye, but not too much. Everything looks clean and well taken care of. Stacey is very professional and knowledgeable. She has a great sense of humor and makes you feel like an old friend in no time. She is a Master Colorist and saved me from very damaged hair and a bad dye job! I have it dyed red with some highlights and it stays looking great at all times. I do not have the constant fading or color turning that I got from other salons. Plus, it still looks red when I go in to get the roots touched up! Stacey also does a great job explaining what she is going to do and why. Like when creating highlights, she explains how she has to lift the color and what it will come out looking like. She even cautioned me against cutting my layers too short and when I asked her to do it anyway she did. Turns out she was right and the next visit she was able to help fix the craziness I asked for! I came in asking for honey blonde highlights and even showed a reference picture. I specifically explained that if the exact color wasn't possible, I still wanted a noticeable blonde look, preferably on the golden side. Instead, I ended up with extremely thin highlights that are barely visible and nothing close to what I asked for. What upset me even more was the haircut. I clearly said multiple times that I only wanted my ends trimmed and cleaned up not a haircut. My hair was nearly waist length when straightened , and she cut it to bra length with layers that I never asked for. When I expressed that I felt too much was cut off, my concerns were brushed aside and I was repeatedly told "it's cute" and that I'd like it. I'm disappointed because I felt unheard throughout the entire appointment. I came in with clear communication and left feeling like my stylist did what she personally wanted instead of listening to what I asked for.
