Oh, and I don't want to pay more than I need to. Is that asking too much? I don't think so. Well, if you're like me, then you may already know that Peterson is conveniently located on the west bound side of Rt. 9, and they are nearly always the cheapest in the area...at least for 93 octane gas. I grew up in NJ where it was illegal to pump your own gas. So, I don't mind pumping my own gas. I'm a responsible adult. But, Peterson will pump your gas for you, which admittedly, can be really nice when it is raining or below freezing, as it is so often here in New England. And when they pump your gas, they're friendly. That's about all I have to say about that. Convenient gas at a good price. 5 stars.

Why? Because the food is actually pretty decent and it's smack dab in the urban center of a large city, but the big win is the coffee, which is only 99c for any size and it's fresh and hot, or fresh and iced if that's your bag. If you want food you order it from a computer screen so you can pretend you work there. I grabbed a turkey sandwich using the screen and it was actually pretty fresh.

Do not come here. We had a horrific experience today with an attendant named Steve. We went to this…read morefull-service station and simply asked if he could pump our gas at the slower setting. Instead of just doing his job, Steve got completely unhinged and racist. Because my partner and I are people of color (Latina and Black), he aggressively demanded to know if we were "from here" and actually threatened to call ICE. When we pointed out how unreasonable he was being, he mocked us, saying things like "What is that, a science?" and told us "I'm not trying be here all day, go somewhere else next time" even though the station wasn't even busy. As paying customers, being targeted with racism and threatened with immigration enforcement over a basic, harmless request is beyond disgusting. Management needs to fire Steve immediately. We will never return.
