It wasn't their fault, it was mine. They had only put ~$2-3 in. I told them not to worry about it, he switched the remaining to the correct pump or so I thought. I had put $40, he made me whole, even though it was my fault. I'll never forget the kindness and generosity on his part. He did me a solid, that's why I'm leaving this review. He's a good dude, I hope it comes back to him ten fold!

Would I continue to get gas from this mega gas supplier!?: PURCHASE 87 Unleaded Regular Gas ($42.50): I was hoping to make it to "my" Costco Gas location, but the GPS read that I wasn't going to make it, so I went in! I casually did a U-Turn into the station, pulled into the first open pump on the driver's side, and did my thing. After 12.28 gallons of gas at $3.45/gallon (credit card price was $0.10 more per gallon), I was good to go on my way for the rest of a busy day! Andy Capp's Hot Fries Corn & Potato Snacks ($1.59): An impulse buy, its namesake used to be one of the many comic strips I read as a child, so naturally it caught my attention - damn you marketers! Basically, this tasted like my favorite Funyuns road trip snack but not in ring form, colored in a Trumpian orange Oompa-Loopma tint, spicy as a chili pepper, and left your fingers stained even after you tried to lick them clean. Otherwise, there was no need for parking because you simply wanted to pull in, pull out, and be on your way. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A short price signage at the corner of Beverly Blvd. and Norwalk Blvd. only visible along Beverly Blvd. as you approached the intersection. With the aforementioned small-sized "Food Mart" convenience store, this was a spacious covered gas station with designated pump and thoroughfare lanes. There was plenty of natural lighting during the day while I imagined bright electric lights flooded the night. There were no TVs but background music played inside the Food Mart. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL This Chevron gas station at the corner of Beverly and Norwalk Blvds. Served its purpose. They definitely didn't have the cheapest gas in town but were centralized to my in-town business. Generally-speaking, the entore facility was well-kept and clean. As I got more familiar to the area, I was certain to find better alternatives...or planned better to have more than enough gas to get me to a Costco Gas station. However, I abhorred the fact that they had separate prices for cash vs. credit ($0.10 difference) and charged for air/water; these were the main factors in my rating. I found fairly good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $44.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). As I was taking a plastic bottle of aloe vera from the fridge--a plastic bottle, not fine crystal--it slipped from my hand and landed on the floor. No spill, no crack, no drama. I picked it up and put it back because, you know, I'm a functional adult with basic decency. Then some employee materializes out of nowhere like he was monitoring the fridge via drone and asks me which item I dropped so they could "take it to the back" because it's now apparently a damaged item. Since when did gas stations start treating dropped PLASTIC bottles like biohazards? Do they think it got emotional damage? Fine. Whatever. I grab a different drink and head to the counter. The woman ringing me up scans everything and then, with the kind of smug authority typically reserved for TSA agents, tells me they "usually charge customers for damaged items," but she'd let it go this time. Oh, how generous. I laughed in her face and walked out. This place is giving sketchy. Are they guilt-tripping customers into paying for items and then pocketing them later? Wouldn't be surprised. Either way, it's a gas station--not the Ritz. Act accordingly. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being interrogated like a suspect for daring to shop clumsily.

Long story short went in to the location in Santa Fe springs Ca. Washington and Sorensen location. Wanted to pump $50 in gas and grabbed an energy drink. I wanted to redeem my dollar off my Chevron app, system was showing I had only 10 cents a gallon. Told the girl never mind I'll take the energy drink only. I guess she wasn't paying attention. Asked her for 2 lottery tickets. I give her the amount owed . I guess she didn't remove the gas like I had asked, so when I told her I didn't want the gas she snapped her little snarky attitude threw my change and tickets on the counter at me and walked away to the back. I walked up to another guy and asked him if he was the manager and he replied "oh no my coworker that walked to the back is" I told him someone needs to talk to that girl. Now I understand everyone has bad days but this wasn't the issue because when I walked up to that counter initially she smiled and we made small talk. It wasn't until I told her to remove the gas it became a big deal. Now I'm not an EFFIN little kid to have this poor mannered , unskilled , poor child minded individual to be throwing anything at me. Whenever I can, which is often because it's near my house, I try to choose this gas station. They have the coolest dog named Max there and he's a sweetheart. He's enormous, a big fluff ball and has the calmest demeanor. Today, I rolled up, greeted his owner (he may be the gas station owner too) and said "No doggie today?" He let me know he was out for a walk but would be back soon. After I paid for the gas, he came and let me know Max was back so I got to visit with him a few minutes. After a long, early work shift, this was the highlight of my day. Max's owners are also great, they really seem like kind, wonderful people. It may seem odd to choose a gas station because of a dog and his nice family,but why not? It turns something mundane into something to look forward to!
