She said to me that she is a realtor and that huge structure that they are building on Shady Hills Road is going to be a "Wawa". I felt bitter and sweet. I drove by that area all of the time and decided that the construction area "may" be the cause of my tire woes. As for the person who posted that they started by selling milk and expanded to what they are now. Two of my brothers worked at their original store in Folsom, PA is an understatement. In 1974 they had a contest to design a new logo. My brother submitted one and his design won. His concept was that WAWA was a native American word for flying goose. If you go inside, it really is a convenience store. They have everything from cat food to snacks to lottery tickets, and a VERY large liquor selection, including fresh limes.
